"This product does what I want it to, but no more. I can use it for taking notes at meetings and getting email when I am away from home. However, I can't get past the extreme annoyance factor of those unwanted Toshiba tabs every time I connect to the web, or those Norton pop-ups that won't close even though they have a purported X button in the corner. Response time is slow, and the page refresh tedious."

"My wife bought her laptop during the holidays and I was impressed with it. Not a Toshiba. Still, we decided that our next purchase to be a netbook to travel with. I started to research and found many, many of them out there. But, I kept coming back to Toshiba. Great price, great features, and the name. Battery is great...keyboard is better than expected....screen size is no problem....speed is better than expected from netbook. Really happy with our purchase!!"

"I have had this netbook for about a month now and am very please in its features and operation. I use it mostly for travel and commuting to work. I am able to video conference anywhere on the road. I upgraded to Office 2010 Pro with no problems. I enjoy movies and online gaming as well. This is a one stop shop for me. There are some performance issues I would like to be better, but realistically it is a netbook and not a laptop. I did upgrade to the 2GB memory. If you do, be careful to research the exact memory that will work as it is VERY specific. I do have a primary laptop for the heavy lifting. All in all this little guy is perfect for my needs and would recommend it."

"Biggest selling point for me was the full sized keyboard. Some keys (End, Home, etc.) are not where you expect them but typing is breeze compared to the usual 92% keyboard on other netbooks. Considering the inherent limitations of a netbook, this one is great."

"I spent several months researching similarly priced mini-laptops that were lightweight, low-priced and fully functional. The Toshiba NB 305 has surpassed expectations. In addition to being all of the above, that the battery life is quite long ( >5 hours ) and it has a comfortable keyboard and is great looking in chocolate brown too! I added 1 GB of RAM right away and it is super fast. GREAT PRODUCT!!"

"I hestitated buying a Netbook because of frequent reviews focusing on lack of performance and limited usefulness. But the Toshiba met and exceeded all my expectations (including sticking with the Windows 7 Starter OS). I am not a game player and do little streaming video (although I download and watch later video), but for all my spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail, etc. the Toshiba has been great. After comparing the Toshiba with other brands, I also found the Toshiba to be very well built, rugged, and the keyboard is a joy to use."

"I bought the laptop to back up photographs I took on a long photo shoot. It is excellent for that, and, although the screen is small, it was adequate to share photos with others in my group. I was disappointed that the screen resolution was too low to enable me to load my normal photo processing software, but I found a shareware (FastStone) that worked. I hadn't intended to do much processing on the small screen in any case. I also found checking email & finding Web pages to be easy. It seems to be quite durable, and I like the light weight, small size, and relatively large hard drive capacity. In short, an excellent choice for the price for my travel needs."
