"The R830-S332 is compact and quick. Between the i7 and the SSD, everything feels very fast. But, know this: if you plan on upgrading the SSD to something larger (the 128GB can quickly become cramped) it won't be as easy as you thought. Toshiba has penny-pinched by employing a proprietary SSD connector. Meaning you'll need to A) scrap the idea, or B) do a tear down all the way to the motherboard in order to swap out the SSD ribbon cable with the wacky connector and replace it with one with a standard SATA connector (part #P000531410, or so I'm told). Doable, if you're tech savvy, but way more work than should be required. Another annoyance: since there is no keyboard volume up/down (only mute,) there is also no on-screen volume meter when you change the volume from your external keyboard. Ok, that's a small thing but annoying since this is such a frequently utilized function. Aside from these things, it's an excellent machine, assuming its durability proves out.."

"Everything on the laptop is great except for the power cord management. Grooves on the brick and fasteners on the brick would make wrapping up the power cord much easier."

"My R830-S332 is just what I wanted- it is lightweight and handles all operations with great speed and accuracy. The display is bright and vivid and can be adjusted. However... the fingerprint reader is accurate less than half of the time, and the facial recognition feature doesn't work at all. "Come closer, closer, closer... log in unsuccessul." I don't know about the battery life, but I had to rate it to complete this review."
