"Light and portable, and at the same time has all the power and features of a full blown desktop. Convenient keyboard, excellent display, large hard drive,built-in DVD player, SD card reader, video camera, HDMI port. All you can think of in a very light and sleek package."

"I purchased this laptop with every intention of downgrading to windows 7. However, I learned the new operating system relatively quickly and took advantage of the windows 8 pro upgrade deal. The laptop itself is very light, fast, a good battery life. My only dislike is the graphics card. It is not the best; but with everything else I am able to work around it. Oh, will also need to get speakers for it. The smaller laptops, ultrabooks, netbooks always have poor speaker quality."

"Windows 2008 will not work with my work system remotely which is why I bought this ultralight laptop. Toshiba indicated they could make it work and were unable to do so. I will have to pay to have Windows 2007 installed."

"I owned a R835 that was stolen. I really liked the laptop so I decided to purchase the R935 since it seemed to mainly be an incremental upgrade. However, there was one major difference. The R935 I purchased came with Windows 8. Did Toshiba even try this thing out with Windows 8? Performance is horribly slow compared to my R835 running Windows 7. Several features did not work out of the box. For example, regardless of what I tried, the laptop would not go to sleep while on battery. I would leave it and come back 20 minutes later and the laptop would still be on. This was on the first day of owning it, before I had installed any software of my own. Overall battery life seemed to be down greatly compared with the R835 running Windows 7. I eventually gave up and just installed Windows 7 on the new R935. I cannot believe the improvement it has made. I would not recommend buying this laptop with Windows 8."
