"This is my third Toshiba Laptop, the best and also most expensive.... I have had. I have had this PC about 3 months and am still figuring things out. I am retired and am becoming limited... Having a video ID is a plus, having back lighted keys is a real plus and the best simple thing... is the sound system, my previous PC's I have to wear earphones, the sound system on this is super.... all PC's ought come with this."

"I initially was thinking about getting the alienware MI7x computer, but when i held it in my hands it was SUPER HEAVY!!!! And it didn't even have a battery in it! But then i held the qosmio in my hands, and I instantly fell in love! The sleek and metallic chassis, the backlit keyboard, and most of all, the AMAZING SPEAKERS!!! This pc easily powers through strategy games, and can even charge through the Battlefield 3 beta!!! The other comments are somewhat true however, the battery life doesn't last very long and can get hot when playing high performance games. But I always have the A/C adapter plugged in, so it's no big deal. So if your looking to game on the go, this PC IS NOT for you."

"Great all-around machine -- great features. Win 7 Pro is on the Seagate Momentum XT Hybrid drive, boots to desktop ready to go in around 30-35 seconds. The nVidia 560 GTX will run NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 at full 1600x900 no problem, and looks beautiful It gets hot by the side vent during gaming, but not as hot as others I've used, and the fan even at its highest RPM is not very loud at all, again compared to others I've used, and when not gaming this rig is quiet. The card can be easily set to run Photoshop CS5 in Open GL, to take advantage of its power, and will also decode videos to take load off CPU. Downside is power draw (that explains the 2-lb 180w power brick) and overall weight, but hey, its a desktop replacement, not a netbook! Great build quality, styling is controversial, but its growing on me. I don't know of anything better in its price range (different maybe, but not better) -- was best for me after a long search. Would recommend!"

"I bought the Qosmio as an upgrade/replacement for my Satellite. I have owned just about every brand of laptop & Toshiba is the only brand I have bought again AND recommended to friends. The only thing I don't like is the volume adjustment, it lowers itself when you increase the volume coming back up to the higher level, weird & annoying."

"This laptop has the power to run almost any game on good or even excellent graphics. I've been running games on higher settings than my 1 1/2 year old PC and had higher FPS the whole time. The only downsides to this laptop are its size and battery life. It's fairly bulky, but I'd say it's well worth it if you want the performance this laptop has to offer. The battery life isn't very good, only around a halfour ingame on high settings, but I don't find it a problem."

"Such a beautiful and powerful laptop, but with a 8cells battery? It should have the best available battery out there. I mean the 12cells battery."

"Incredible how some minor flaws can completely ruined what might have been a great computer. I mean: -1600x900 display. Really? Why can't I have a FullHD monitor without having to pay extra for unnecessary 3D? -No Firewire port=No chance to edit digital video, and no chance to use this as a professional laptop. -Ugliest speakers ever. -Why 8-cell battery instead of 12-cell? This could've been THE power laptop we were looking for, but those mistakes scream "KEEP LOOKING!""
