"Be aware! if you looking for a laptop to use linux on stop looking at this laptop now! i am a linux user and when i purchased my satellite A505 (the one your looking at) i did not know that toshiba is one of very few that keeps the microsoft monopoly going by only supporting Windows. I am very disappointed by this because it is a very nice laptop, unfortunately i am force to us Windows though. So, if you use windows than this is a very good laptop for you, just not for use here in the linux community :("

"I bought this one while visiting salt lake city. I already knew what one to buy so it was easy, just to pick it up. I wanted something fast with a great performance and I was not wrong... I have good features for a good price... I mean, just fair. Games run great, fast, no delays. The boot up time is less than a minute... It needs bluetooth, yeah but if you dont use it well it is no big deal. The screen is so clear and bright, full of color and life. The style is so neat, a serious laptop but with that high status style sometimes we want... This laptop is not meant to be carried with you all the time cuz its weight is not very friendly for carriers... six pounds... heheh... It would be good to get a longlife battery, with six or more cells... that would be good, the battery doesnt long more than two hours even in ecomode."
