"Purchasing the Tosiba Satellite C650D-ST6N02 Laptop was the best decision I ever made. I received one for Christmas (2011) and it has been so easy to use and reliable that I bought one this month for my son who is in high school. It has so many practical features like the numeric keypad, built-in webcam, Wi-fi capability and slim design. The afforability was also a plus for me. We are thrilled with the performance and reliability as well. When I have the need to upgrade, I will definitely purchase another Toshiba. I am very very happy with my purchase.
Thank you so much to Toshiba and the wonderful folks that helped me make the purchase on the phone. It was a pleasurable exerience."

I ordered a Satelite C650D-ST6N02 because of the price and my experiance with my wife's machine. I guess you get what you pay for."

"I found it unsuitable for use with storing video. It is much too slow for editing video with professional video software. It's also unsuitable for pro software for and professional photography use. It boggs down and must be defragmented frequently to operate.
However, it will burn DVD's and CD's at a faster than normal rate after downloading from a flash drive or other sources. The key board becomes un-responsize after extended use with almost all characters making typing reports and letters a chore. Spell check is a must use when this happens. Wireless or Wi-Fi does work well. The large screen is also a plus. This is a good laptop for ordinary home use but is not my primary choice for professional use."

"There is not enough memory for any kind of extensive use on the internet. Two or three cookies slows it to a bare minimum of operation. Very disappointed, have another Toshiba, with which I am extremely satisfied."

"I really enjoy my new laptop. Having to give up my old one to my son who is a senior in college this year was a good move on my part. I purchased a Toshiba brand for it's quality and it was the best priced one for everything you received with it. The only bad thing I would have to say is I was disappointed that it did not come with a Windows 7 disc in case I get a virus and have to reload it. But other than that, I would refer everyone I know to purchase from Toshiba."

"I recently purchased a Gateway laptop and had problems with it from the start. After a year and out of manufacturer's warranty, the motherboard gave out. My daughter had a Toshiba laptop that she had had for years with no problem. To replace my worthless Gateway laptop, I purchased the Toshiba Satellite C650D-ST6N02 laptop. I am so glad I did. I got much much more for my money and it is one of the best things I've purchased in my lifetime! The upgrades alone would have cost about the same as the discounted price of the laptop. I would highly recommend this laptop to all of my friends in the market for one."

"I'm very pleased with the laptop EXCEPT that the keyboard/cursor/insertion point system is all too sensitive. Text disappears/ text jumps lines. You cannot make even the slightest typing error without losing text. This is a known problem. See the Micrsoft HELP pages. Attempts to rectify the problem do not work. If I had known I would face this problem I would not have bought a Toshiba. Otherwise a nice machine."

"Well I bought this for my granddaughter (pre-teen) so she would stay off ours , everything is perfect !
It has just enough juice to multitask , and do other things teen kids do now days , it was reasonable and she has been so happy with it , and to top it off the price was in our ballpark so it sold me on it ,thanks"

"Well, It is light with a large screen. It has Windows 7 with all the latest updated software. I don't like Windows 7, not this version anyway. I don't like the Windows Live email program with this bundle. I do not like something always wanting to update with important updates. It doesn't have enough memory to run all the programs in the background and work smoothly. It has a lot of "virtual memory". How do I shut off all the junky stupid stuff I don't need without everything else stopping? The mouse pad is very funky. It does stuff I don't want it to and doesn't always do what i do want to do. Very frustrating! All in all, I miss my old laptop. This one is going to take a lot of work getting used to, if it isn't tossed out the window of a fast moving car first! Sorry, I just don't like it."

"Had power management issues right off the bat. Got that fixed. The battery has only lasted about 2 hours from the start. It looked good from a price/performance perspective but hasn't really delivered. IE hangs up regularly. Would have returned but missed the 15 day return window (which is pretty short!!)."

"I have a L 5050, just three years old and it now has a cracked screen. I am very careful with my things so I do not know how this happened. So, I found out the replacement cost would be more that the PC cost originally, so I bought this unit. It is supposed to be better than the L 5050, but I am experiencing a wait time for it to load programs. The Web comes up slow and so does e-mail, so I am not extremely happy, but I have so I will deal with it."

"I use my laptop mainly for my small online business, processor and memory are entirely adequate for minor programs and constant FireFox. It runs a lot cooler and quieter than my previous HP. The battery life is adequate for my in-home purposes. It does seem to need its internet connection reset more."
