"This is a great laptop for price. Even after 1 year of use, the performance is pretty much same. I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and it works like a charm. The battery life is excellent and is around more then 4 hours. One of the best laptops in this price range. It does not look fancy but functionality wise it is very good."

"I have nothing to compare this to, but since it's my 1st, I am really liking it. The only thing I would like better is the sound. No matter how high you have it, you can barely hear it. All in all, I am finding it easy to use."

"first i dont know how old are you but if you are like 30s this will be a great laptop is functional and all that stuff but if you are a little younger like 15 year old to 20s this is an AWESOME laptop is awesome to play games like for exaple skyrim excellent graphics also for watching movies like i said excellent graphics made capable of whatching 1080 p movies recomented for all"

"The Hinge broke so are laptop is all wobly. Fixed it a few times but this time its the worse. Everything else works perfectley exept it looses conection alot. Very disapointed. Want my money back!!"

"the hinge design is really bad, and unreliable. i have had to fix it on a few occasions since i got the laptop in late September of 2011. now, i kinda wish i said "mac" when my mom asked me what kind of computer i wanted, only because they have better design not a better OS!"

"A few months ago i had to have it taken in since the BIOS glitched, and made some password that it never told me. luckily it was still under warenty, so i waited about three weeks for it to be shipped to Orange County, then some place in Missouri or something where the warenty repair was.
overall it is a good computer, and my second laptop. the reason it gets a 4 on the battery is because the battery only lasts about 2.5 or three hours, but i have it sleeping alot"

"Well, I have had to have my dad take the laptop to the geeks a few times to reset passwords(one was a Windows password, and the other was a BIOS password) but other than that, I love this computer, and i keep it by my side (even when i sleep). a third of the computers i hsve owned are Toshiba, one is my new Satellite C655-S5206, and the other is an old Tecra 730XCDT"

"Let's beigin.
Battery life, this baby is a monster!
Tested by surfing, watching movies, playing video games - StarCraft 2 with high semi medium details and runs SMOOTH! 3h of gaming with no battery safe mode.
Speakers are good and enough for laptop really, LED screen is brilliant, colors are awesome and real.
Full keyboard size is something you're gonna love, and keypads are really silent.
Only bad side of this, this is NOT gaming laptop since it lacks GPU, got up to 1.6gb integrated and runs most of games smoothly."

"This computer works great for everything that I have used it for so far. The only problem I have is with the touch pad. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, it is just difficult to use. It is probably just me though because I have problems using my sister's computer with a touch pad too. It does all kinds of strange things. It will resize my game screens, cause the cursor to move inexplicably, and just other wierd things. I solved the problem by hooking up a mouse. No more problems."

"I need a laptop that is easy to use but has great features for a good price. In my experience, Toshiba is a brand you can count on for all of this. It has a long battery life and is very durable and professional in appearance. This laptop has a large screen but remains lightweight, important for a person with arthritis and aging eyesight. You cannot go wrong with this computer. It is my second Toshiba."

"I don't do a lot of things with my laptop, mostly I surf the net, watch videos and download pictures. I have been very satisfied with my Toshiba Satellite and enjoy using it. This is my second Toshiba Satellite and since I loved the first one and it lasted me forever, I decided to get another one. I have had nothing but good experiences with them up to now."

"I bought 2 laptop a week apart,was talked out of an nother brand. place i bought it downloaded anti spyware and still having trouble with it one lost 6 screws from the back and wish i would have stayed with the other brand.Place i got it from says it to old for any value for an upgrade with i dont think is right for only have these for 7 monthes"

"Good value for the price BUT sound is Horrible. Even at the highest level it still isn't very loud and the other review is correct, very tinny sound. Only two speakers which are above the keyboard. Bought this for my daughter and she listens to music and watches YouTube fairly often so we will see what she thinks. Other wise performance seems good after only two days, a little too soon to tell."

"I did research as far as features, etc. Sizes, capabilities, storage, speed, etc. I didn't even think about checking the sound quality - Major Mistake on my part. There is virtually no volume and the sound is like my first car's am radio.....My son has a similar laptop and when he turns his volume up and stands across the room - I can hear his over mine and I am holding mine - it is a shame - such potential but I have learned my lesson for next time."

"It Has a great processor,plenty of ram, and harddrive. Great screen resolution. It is quick and have had no issues doing daily tasks. reason for 4 star ratting is sound is horrible, low volume at highest setting and very tiney sounding. Battery life is ok but not great. This said it is a good performer for general PC use, not a gamming PC And should be considered if looking for a lap top for you or as a gift."

"I love this computer! I have had 5 comnputers but this is my favorite. It runs very fast and does all it has to for my job as a high school English teacher. I loaded my own copy of Windows and AVG anti-virus, but I could afford to do so as the cost was very reasonable for the machine.
Having said all that, the dvd drive is very tempermental. Somedays it won't work, somedays it is slow, and sometimes it is just fine. I may have to have it fixed as it came this way and is still under warnentee. Please, tell me how to have it repaired. Do I return it or send it to the factory which I can't do as I have all my school notes on it. How do I get the drive replaced?"

"I am very satisfied with this computer. I took back four computers before I bought this computer. This computer has performed well. It has the features I need. I like the hard texture of the computer vs the glossy plastic computers. The keyboard touch is good. I am putting aside my more expensive computer to use this computer every day. I will use my other computer for backup."
