"My last laptop was a Toshiba and I only have good things to say about it. I just bought this one a month ago and have had nothing but problems. Problems with speed, with the shutdown procedure, just problems with everything. I am unhappy I bought this one."

"Touch pad performance VERY sensitive to JUST the RIGHT touch. It takes a great deal of concentration to get the proper level of touch. Get it wrong, and the cursor won't move."

"The computer features are generally alright. I have had this laptop now for 2 years, and the very first month I owned it, the wifi capabilities on it completely died! I was no longer able to log into any hotspots or my university wifi. I was able to jury-rig the computer to accept the wifi at the local library, but I have yet to be able to log on anywhere else, unless there is a physical connection. I don't think I will be buying another one, despite the fact that everything else works OK. I really needed that wifi!"

"Needed an inexpensive no-frills laptop for the wife to check email and occasionally write a few reports for work. First month and the power cord is not connecting and the new mouse touch pad does everything except what you want it to do. Really sick of trying to scroll and all it does is change the zoom on the web page. Don't recommend it - spend the money and get one that actually works."

"This is my 2nd Toshiba Satellite. I mostly like it. I especially like the number pad on the keyboard. I do not like the extrmely soft volume even at 100%, and I get irritated at the touch pad that scrolls my page when I only want to move my curser. But all in all it is pretty good. The long battery hours are a big plus!"

"My husband & I were in a hurry to buy a replacement computer when our laptop went kaput in the middle of purchasing a home that required renovations. Having to go back & forth to the library to research contractors & materials was a huge hassle. We had never owned a laptop before & since I am HUGE on research I felt rushed into a decision before really understanding our wants/needs. We decided to just purchase this Toshiba to meet our immediate needs. It was a straight middle-of-the-line laptop in price & performance. I am pleased with it. I wish it were a little bit faster in browsing & small videos but like I said...it does exactly what it said it would!"

"I have another brand of laptop, which I dislike because its manufacture adds so much proprietary software and "helpful" programs that the machine is drastically slowed down in its performance. My Toshiba is not like this at all. Its manufacture has offered a reasonable balance of useful software with speed and efficiency. I love using it. In fact, when I needed a third computer for my work, I chose a duplicate model of the Toshiba."

"I like it but it is way more cluttered and slow than i thought it would be. Pus I have been perfect to it and now after less than a month the battery area is loose. Way to much addvertising. I do not need all this extra gaming stuff and what i do need is not on here mostly. Hopefully I will be impressed with something about it in the next couple of months or i may trade it in for another brand."

"This is the first laptop I've had, and I really like the full size keyboard. I did have trouble with the touch pad, but have since gotten a wireless mouse and it's taken care of my zooming from one screen to anouther unintentionally. The graphics are sharp and colorful and I can surf the internet faster than on my tower computer. I wish I had gotten a choice of purchasing more on my installed software packages, but this works fine for now. It is wonderful to be able to take my computer with me!"

"This was my very first laptop purchase on my own. I am a 34 year old man. I have to say that I love everything about this laptop. The one thing that I absolutely hate is the mouse "square". I could be scrolling down on a website and all of the sudden, the screen size gets huge or gets really small. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn that off but it really, really aggravates me."

"For the casual user or student, this is one of the best values out there. I had a 5 year old Toshiba that still works fine it was just too slow for some applications. The C655 gave me enough speed for what I needed. I did upgrade the RAM to the full 8GB. There was a little lag with the stock 4GB. I wish there were 4 USB ports like the older models had. The speakers have a lower sound quality also. It's a good machine. Well worth the price."

"Compared to other laptops I've used, this is my least favorite. There's no definition for the mousepad and I canstantly click the wrong button. The keys are hard to clean around and the 3 cell battery lifespan is way less than 3 hours. It does everything it's supposed to just not always the way i like. It does have some features that I do like more than others but overall it's just okay."

"I feel that for the moderate price I paid for the product, it has good features and performs well. The only thing I was unhappy about is that even Microsoft Word was not loaded as a feature. Of course, there was the trial, but most computers I've purchased in the past included at least Word as a feature that I didn't have to add at a cost.
I do like the size and the full keyboard. This is my first Windows 7 computer, love the sticky notes feature."
