"I really like the laptop except the volume on high is still very low. I have to use an external speaker or my headphones to actually watch a video or movie! Other than that not too bad."

"I've had this laptop for a few months now and it still works like new. It boots up pretty fast, the battery is still pretty strong and overall it is just remarkable."

"I really like this computer. The keyboard is great ... I use an external mouse.
Only wish that there was a method of increasing the volume to a louder setting. Other than that I'm very happy with this laptop.
And tech support is great .... I don't know why but after setting my password it didn't accept it when restarting my computer. Tech support help me to get back up and running. Please don't forget to backup your password!"

"Love the flexibility this laptop gives me as far as taking it along anywhere. I sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and have no problems using this laptop. I haive found the performance to be consistently reliable, startup very fast. I use the Century Link wireless service and get around the internet very quickly. Keyboard has a nice touch and I really love the number keypad."

"I really do love my new Toshiba. I'm coming from XP to windows 7 so that in it's self is a jump. I also have a Dell labtop and pc that have been very good to me. After tring to find a new system on a very limited budget that can give me years of trouble free problems and as many features I could afford I came to beleive the satellite C655-S5514 was that system. I wanted to go with the satellite pro, but I didn't have the time to save the added cash differents. I will be using this to learn how to write webs. Only time will tell about the life of the system. I do feel I got the best bang for the buck. This system is fantastic and it listens to me and understands me better than my wife. Thanks to all the folks at Toshiba."

"i'm not confined to the desk anymore. i love it. if i want to check my email right quick before i go to sleep, i just reach over and check it, don't have to get up and go to the desk anymore. the only thing that i have a problem with is that i do miss the mouse. in time the wife says i get better with it."

"For the hardware specs given, it performs better than expected. I only wish it had a slightly better graphics card and a processor with virtualization extensions. Other than that, it performs quite well. This laptop easily outperforms the 8-year old desktop that it replaced.
Before buying this, I briefly had a refurbished AMD quad-core Acer. It had great performance, but would tend to bluescreen after working hard, so I exchanged it for this Toshiba. This performs well enough for my purposes and is rock-solid stable."

"I finally replaced my Dell Inspiron. I've had it for a few years and it was getting ridiculously sluggish. The Toshiba Satellite is fast. I've only had it a month and there have been no problems."

"This is my very first time of owning anything by Toshiba, when I found this laptop online I like the specs about it so I decided to buy it. When I first set it up when it got delivered I was a little disappointed about the volume on the speakers but I went into the smart audio program and I was able to make the volume louder. I use this laptop everyday and when I get on the internet its the fastest laptop I ever had and that is just on the wireless it self. I haven't hooked it up to a ethernet cord yet!! I'm very happy with this laptop and the price I paid was a good price!! I would buy another laptop from Toshiba!!!"

"Not best laptop ever. Screen res seems less than previous HP laptop, harder to read. Keyboard keys more susceptible to crumbs/dust. Power adapter cord sticks out to cause quicker replacement, if a "Easy Transfer" cable is needed to transfer data from XP it should come with it or at least mention it.
Windows 7 seems a great improvement over Vista (from whaat I've heard) but has it's own problems... I was once able to print from my laptop but not now..multiple "fixes" tried and failed.
Seems like just more problems piled on top of more problems in windows platform..
Anyone remember PRODUCTION???
I've spent more time trying to repair Windows problems than actually using it and haven't really even started to use my laptop for the purposes for which I bought it.
Not happy.."

"This is my first laptop. I have only used desk tops and I just love the portability. The 10 key is nice I work alot with numbers so that was an important feature. Getting started was easy. Using the microsoft starter pack was not as easy I have used these programs before. If you have not used them then you will need guidance. I have not explored windows 7 yet and will be getting to that soon. I am excited to see what kind of features are available to me. The battery life so far has been 5.5 hours however make sure to completely kill the battery and then charge fully to 100% for maximum quality and long life. Overall I would recommend this laptop."

"I was looking to replace an old mini notebook (MSI) and being a full time student, I needed something a little bit bigger. I have never owned a Toshiba before. When I saw this laptop, I knew it was for me. I had never used windows 7 before, but I love it. I love that this laptop comes with video editing software as I am always shooting videos for school and for my work. I couldnt have asked for a better laptop. Its lightweight and runs great!"

"For the price I figured this would be a middle of the road laptop with no bells and whistles.. I was pleasantly surprised. The speed on this baby is impressive and I am very happy that it is not loaded with garbage apps that only slow down the machine.. "This is my second Toshiba(mom still uses the one from 2008). Other than the right mouse button sticking on both computers every once in a while when scrolling, it is a pretty good computer. We have always left both computers plugged into the electricity so i can't comment on that. If I was rich enough for an Apple, I would get that(I mainly use the computer for music recording) Apple's are far superior when it comes to music and arts. but for the price, Toshiba holds up well. I'm kinda disappointed with the fact that the Delete button is no longer next to the Alt Key. The key that is there now is USELESS!!!!! ON BOTH SIDES!!!! But I have gotten use to it above the BackSpace key. I just wish I could reconfigure the 2 keys by the Alt keys on either side!!! Over all I like my new computer."
