"great lap top, but to my surprise there is no web camera. I guess I am so used to them being there I did not even check until I looked at my Skype partners picture instead of her life."

"i own an hp desktop and this laptop is 10 times better than that will ever be . i will buy another toshiba laptop and tell may friends and any one who asks what kind of laptop should i buy.so i really like mine and will buy another one when i decide to get a second laptop."

"many programs do not seem to work right. Very slow, get alot of "no response" errors, close downs and just generally programs not working property, such as adobe, explorer, MS office suite. Performance is SLOW. INternet is slower than it should be not this slow on other house computers. think somehting is not right with this laptop. also lack of usb ports is inconvient didn't realize there was only 2 when I purchased this - no good. kind of wish i brought it back to the store right away"

"Can't beat the value. Screen is gorgeous - best I've seen. Windows 7 home premium .. lacks a webcam, but I have external one, so not an issue. Performance is great. My first Toshiba and I bought it thinking 'will try it and return if not good'.. glad I got it."

"I purchased the laptop for several reasons, but mainly because of the Toshiba name. In my opinion, Toshiba laptops are the best on the market. The laptop I purchased is everything I expected and more. It was loaded with very usefull software and applications, such as DVD burning software. The computer is very fast, battery run time is above average, superior video screen, and normal size keyboard keys. The quality of the computer is quite evident in how the unit operates and is built. The other main reason why I purchased the laptop was because of the reasonable price."

"The touch pad is way to sensitive. usb ports on the left side not practical for mouse. the processor is way to underpowered for this unit. the speakers are just as underpowered as the processor and sound like they're coming from a tin can, i can't hear anything unless im using headphones. If i would have know the processor was so underpowered and slow i would have opted for a different brand. ya get what ya pay for, right? i would not recommend this computer."

"Great value computer with sufficient power for the casual, even usual, user. I have two...one a Celeron processor, the other this D model with an AMD. The Celeron was more expensive but clearly faster. Best features are the longevity of battery (as a simple, low perf CPU might afford), light weight, and quiet operations."

"I am very pleased overall with this laptop. You won't beat it in this price range. The single core processor makes it a tad underpowered for some video applications, but the graphics card usually makes up for it.
The screen is bright and clear, and the number pad is very handy. The laptop speakers are a bit tinny, but through a headset it sounds good.
It might not be a full blown desktop replacement, but for versatile and functional mobility you won't find better for the price."

"Overall, this is a nice laptop. The price was right and it runs well. This is my first laptop, so I can't compare it to others, but I believe my money was well spent on this one. My one complaint about this laptop is that the mouse area is very sensitive. Light touches can cause you to click on something you may not have wanted to."

"The only complaint I have with the Satellite C655 is the processor speed is too slow, hence the overall and performance rated average and everything else excellent. Had I known the processor speed was this slow, I probably would not have purchased this model."

"I feel this laptop is a good value for the price. It is attractive and was very easy to set up and I was able to start using it right away. The only "complaint" I have is the lack of USB ports - 2 is just not enough! Other than that, this is a very nice laptop at a very nice price"

"I bought this laptop about 2 or 3 months ago and it's not a bad computer for the price I paid for it but it's slow and I have already lost a key off of the keyboard I would not recommend this laptop to anyone. I would pay a little extra for a better product."

"I purchased this laptop for travel purposes, and use it regularly for surfing the internet or Skype IM with friends. It suffices for my intended needs. Overall it is just a larger netbook, i.e. a larger screen and full-sized keyboard with the same processing power of the smaller netbooks."

"Let me start off by tell you the things that I like. the fan is very quite. The CPU never gets hot to the touch. The screen is bright.
Now on to what I do not like. No way to control the volume unless I minimize my screen and click on the taskbar. Then the part I hate the worst. The touchpad. The touchpad is so sensitive that it makes it impossible to type. I had to retype this twice so far because my palm or finger hits the pad and I somehow lose everything that I just wrote. I turned the touchpads controls to be at the lease sensitive I can set it at but it doesn't matter. Also scrolling is terrible. After I stop the page slowly and choppingly moves the opposite direction I just scrolled. It is also a guessing game at times as to where I need to place my finger in order to scroll. Seems to move from the far right edge at times to over towards the center a little more the next time. then there is the issue of "where is the edges" when using it. not defined enough. We have 7 laptops in the house and this is the only one I have an issue with and just so I didn't think it was just me having the problem I had everyone else use it without telling them about the problem and they all complain about the samethings!
I would LOVE this laptop if it wasn't for this one annoying thing."

"It makes no sense to me that the power cord plugs in right above the DVD tray - the cord gets in the way of the tray opening and closing properly. Also having the usb drives on the front left is awkward when external items are usually on the right (like an external mouse) and I am left handed so you think I would like that."
