"I had previously bought another laptop (Gateway) and it felled beyond the warranty's repair, so I chose Toshiba laptop since it is so simple to use and moderately affordable. It has numeric keyboard that is separate from the typing alphabet part, which is what drew me to try it out. And also the software installed are comparable to laptops out for display this year. The only drawbacks are there doesn't appear to the recovery CD with this laptop and battery life is short."

"I would definately recommend Toshiba to my friends. This is my first laptop and I find it incredibly easy to use and the fact that it is so light is an added bonus."

"I would never purchase another Toshiba. I was very disappointed in the performance of this laptop. It shut itself off in the middle of applications when it was fully charged or plugged into electricity. This happened continuously for a week. I was treated exceptionally well when I returned the laptop to the vendor. It appears that this model is a dud model as there were a number of folks that returned the same model for the same reason."

"There is no way to restore to factory settings if needed, unless you pay toshiba more money. You can't create a restore disk. if you buy this, you are basically totally shafted like I am."

"This laptop is a very nice machine. I think I got a great deal for the price. It does a very good job of surfing the web and loads and runs fast. I don't think the battery has a very long usage/time, so it needs to stay plugged in, also, I don't like the touch pad, so, I use a plugged in mouse. With these being minor items, I think I got a great deal for the cost."
