"when I purchased this computer, I was really amazed at how fast 1.3 GHz was. I did, however after getting it, maxed out the ram to 8GB, vastly improved the proformence overall. I do feel that there should be two USB Ports on the right side of it as well."

"I runs rather slow and locks up a LOT!! I'm not fond of all the preloaded Toshiba junk that opened on start a up so I had to remove it. Who wants that stuff anyway? Should be given the choice. This is my first laptop and I was expecting something better."

"I like the style, the obvious speed (havent completed adding my games though). the ONLY thing i dont like, is the constand "advertisements" with no box to check "dont ask again" I do not need the online backup and would prefer not to have it shoved in my face. there are also unnecessary (for me) features, i would like to remove but cannot. other than that i am happy with this product."

"This is the first laptop I've owned, I've always has desktop computers. The keyboard is comfortable and includes a number pad. The tutorial was very informative and this laptop has been very easy to adapt to."

"Price was right, but it operates at a prehistoric speed. I didn't notice that processor speed was a mere 1.3 GHz before making the purchase, my bad. I hope to make an improvement by doubling the RAM from 3 GB to 6 GB, but I don't expect much. This might be a good "starter" model, but don't expect much if you are a seasoned user. The speakers are very weak, as most are on laptops, no surprise here. There is no HDMI port either :-( The display is acceptable, as is the KB layout, save for the annoying possibility of resting my palm on the touch pad as I type, causing frustrating errors. My suggestion is to spend an additional $100 for a better Toshiba model, you will be much happier."

"the only problem i am having so far is adjusting from windows vista to 7. have read the booklet that came with the new toshiba and the online user guide, without having my questions answered. for example.....with vista i could put an icon on my desktop for favorite websites. with 7 i have to use the bar below the address bar."

"There's not a lot of features to boast about which is to be expected for an inexpensive model. For what it is, it performs as well as expected. So far my biggest dislike is not having a light to indicate drive activity, which in my opinion Windows users need. If there's a lag you're wondering if it's your connection or something else going on. How much could one save by excluding a tiny little LED? Still, it's a good value."

"when I bought this laptop it had a trojan on it and it had a lot of other issues registry keys and things like that. I was going to buy a couple more for my grandchildren but not now. I was really hoping it would work for me but it didn't. I hope in the future that these problems and bugs can be worked out of your laptops."

"I'm not sure if I got a lemon or what, but this laptop is extremely slow and freezes often while typing or loading pages. At this point in my review, it has frozen 4 times already. The features it has are next to useless when you're waiting so long to do anything. Frustrated and disappointed!"

"Very easy to get used to; however, it had to be defragmented right out of the box! It was 13% fragmented and I used Defraggler, reduced to 1%. Two days later it was at 6%! The fragmenting is causing it to run very slowly in the most mundane of tasks like loading a web page. I really hope this is constant defragging doesn't have to continue! There are a few pros. The battery life is outstanding, I can go for several hours without plugging it in unlike my old Dell Inspiron. It's worth the price I guess. This laptop has its good points but the pros don't exactly outweigh the cons. Right now I wouldn't recommend it."
