"This laptop has been great. Has exceeded my expectations so far. Having a larger hard drive and a 2.3 processor I don't have to wait for things to pop up or download. Added a pair of small desk-top speakers since I like to listen to music while I am on the computer. CD player works great. Have already used the web-cam. I have not found one thing that wasn't excellent on this laptop."

"i have had my toshiba laptop for 5 months now and i love it i had one problem with it but it was a easy fix the button on the keyboard fell off but was easy to put back on so i would like to get another toshiba product again"

"i had to return 2 laptops because of problems with them,in the last visit to return the laptop,and left with another brand with more cost to me.I always thought toshiba as being top of the line in electronics.I was going to buy a 42 in or larger toshiba led 3d tv but now iam not sure."

"It is a good basic laptop to do schoolwork with. It has enough power to run some power hungry programs such as AutoCad. Not designed for gaming. The wifi works well on this computer. The bolts covered by black plastic that surround the screen keep falling out, it was a cheap glueing job. Also when I first got the laptop the keyboard was too high which made it feel like typing on a balloon for the first couple days. Eventually the keyboard settled down. The battery life is good, I was able to work on excell with the computer unplugged for more than 3 hours with still a quarter of the battery charge left. This computer has an annoying habit of timing out on youtube videos for some reason, can't explain why it happens. So far the computer didn't crash to a point of losing my stuff, so that's good. All in all it has good computer components but it was cheaply put together. Wish it had bluetooth and NFC."

"This laptop is great for the price. My only complaints are the battery life is not very good at all. The charging port also got loose pretty quick. Other than that its a good computer for the price."

"I got this as a replacement for another laptop and i really wish i didn't from day two it has had problems. The next day after buying it, it would not even turn on i had to plug in the charger and finally after about 20 minutes the light indicating the charger was plugged in came on and i was able to turn i on. Everytime i turn it off overnight I have to hope i can get it to turn back on I don't even let it turn off anymore because last time it did it took 3 hours to get it to come on and i dont think it will next time. I just recently called toshiba to have it sent off to be fixed with their warranty and i'm about to send it off in a week and last night i was watching a movie and all of a sudden the blue error screen came up my computer restarted and there is no sound. i wish i had never got this laptop but i settled because i needed a laptop and they didnt have much because they were selling out with with students when i bought it in august. (also from the first week i had it the flat screws on the screen were falling out and its kinda hard to keep them in once they get loose considering you cant screw them back in)"

"I bought this laptop in September of 2012 to do my school work on. It was a good deal for what I got. It ran pretty good until just the other day. In the middle of my paper it crashed, no time to save or anything. Took over 7 attempts to restore and not return to a blue screen. When it did finally restore it runs really slow. Don't get me wrong, it was good while it worked, just not sure if I would buy a Toshiba again. Sorry but 4 months is a little fast for a computer to die out."

"Good overall experience BUT the hard drive died about 1 1/2 months after purchase. Toshiba fixed with no prob and in a timely manner but should a hard drive fail after a month and a half? I think not."

"I've had this laptop since August 2012 and its been really great! Its my first personal laptop and I love all the personalization features, it really is a great product. Battery life is great so far and I use it basically everyday. If I have any issue it would be that the touchpad is a bit sensitive at times, whenever my BlackBerry USB rubs against it, it kinda acts up but that hardly happens. Overall a great product and good value for money! (Y)"

"I've been very happy with this computer. This is my second Toshiba laptop and both have been very good. This one is great for the price. The only complaint is the trac pad doesnt always have the sensitivity I would want."

"Mostly used computers at work but blocked from so many websites. Love my laptop, can take it anywhere. Picture is so clear and easy to read, keyboard is large. I enjoy being able to move around the house and not stuck in one location by using the wifi. Toshiba seems to be a wise choice, would highly recommend."

"Works fine . I was in a snit over the demise of my year old HP, when I bought this. The keyboard in unfortunatly placed too high for comfort. The ram seems to be lacking as I cannot open cell video without a hitch.But it is otherwise quick and functional and the price was good."

"I purchased the Satellite C855 because my Dell laptop was in the shop and I needed something to use to complete my online courses. My original thoughts were to give this to my father once I was done using it.
I've never had a Toshiba and I was REALLY surprised how fast and functional this inexpensive model was compared to others I had in the past."

"So far, I think it operates great! The battery seems to last a great deal longer when the laptop is not being used. When used with battery, the screen loweres in lighting. Has a numeric keypad which I appreciate. Fast on boot-up."

"I have used many laptops and repaired many as well. Excellent machine for the money. Huge hard drive, quick speed. As far as ram excellent upgradability. I already upgraded mine to 16 gb ram and can still go farther. So far more reliable than any HP product out anymore. You can not trust HP motherboards anymore that is why I switched to toshiba"

"When I boot up I get a message that Windows was not shut down properly. The blue screen suggests I start Windows in the Repair Mode. When I do, I get error message F3-F100-0010 and must click on "OK" to shut down. When I restart, the blue screen again comes up telling me Windows was not shut down properly. I then chose to start Windows in Normal Mode. Usually Windows will then load.
The keyboard does not always display the letter when I type, like the connection is not always made.
Nothing special at all about this laptop."

"I was borrowing a laptop from a friend, few years old Dell, worked fine, audio was fantastic! Just bought Toshiba two days ago and I am thrilled!!! I noticed a few things right away, the speed of download, all the additional features & the only downside I've seen is the audio, will have to buy some speakers for great music listening!"

"This is the worst laptop we have experienced. But we are stuck with it now.
The machine is very slow and has a mind of its' own. Have no manual so can't even attempt to figure it out and certainly am not going to print it out. (rediculious)
I may not be necessary proficient but have never been so lost or frustrated with any HP machines we have had in the past.
