"Everything about this laptop is fantastic for it's price point....except the speakers! They're unusable! I had to buy a small portable speaker to plug in (by Peavey-WOW!) to listen to ANYTHING with any clarity or inteligibility. My past Toshiba laptops had great speakers. They should re-think this because everything else is great."

"I like the separate keypad since I do alot of number input which is the big reason for buying this laptop. Also the size and weight. Has all the features I was looking for including ram and speed. I do find it is a little slow on booting and opening some programs, but not enough to make me unhappy with the overall performance. Only thing I'm not satisfied with is the battery time. I'm lucky to get 2 hours when working before I have to plug it in. Good value for the price!"

"A great laptop i put everything on there like 12 GB of movies and 6-7 GB of music and still runs as fast as the day i bought it, every once in a while it is slow loading up when i log on but that's only because i have a'lot of stuff running and also the battery life from time to time dies quickly but it charges even quicker and i only use this for school so its not a bad laptop at all i would recommend this to friends for sure!"

"I read the review before I purchased this computer. I am very disappointed. The first week the keyboad stopped working. I fixed that but still have issues that I do not know how to fix. The computer does not respond well , and freezes all the time. I have too many issues with it."

"I am a proficient user of a desktop PC but this is my first laptop. I had to have my printer driver downloaded by an expert so I have only really been using the laptop for a very few days. And I cannot compare it to another laptop since I've never had one before."

"I needed a laptop to replace one that had been stolen. I did not have a great deal of money to spend on a second one; I had to buy cheaply. Despite having those restrictions, I came away with an excellent laptop that suits my needs as a student and personal user. Moreover, the service I have received has thus far been excellent."

"I am really liking this laptop. It starts up really fast and web pages load quickly. I have not had any problems or issues. The keyboard is laid out nicely so when I type I am not hitting the mouse pad. So, far, all is great."

"have been a toshiba laptop user now for 8 years. This one is my 3rd one to boot!! I am very pleased with it and it had a very nice pricetag to boot that was very resonable and love how fast this one is. Only thing that I am not crazy about is the keyboard. Kind of hard to type on but do love the fact that it does have the 10 keyboard on the right side! love that alot! Over all good laptop and would recommend it!!"

"This is the second Toshiba laptop I've owned. I still have the other one, and use it for a back up. I needed more memory. My only issue, is the lousy quality of sound from the speakers on the new one. It's very tinny sounding and doesn't do music any justice. It does sound better if I plug in speakers. I use my laptop for slideshows, so I need good music quality. I've looked for a way to adjust the treble and base, but can't find a way to do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated."

"This is my third Toshiba and very happy with the first and current one. Second was a refurb, not happy with that one but considering it was a refurb....spend the money for brand new versus saving a few $ but also getting a very limited warranty."

"I love my Toshiba laptop. The outer cover is such that it doesn't show fingerprints. My last laptop I was constantly wiping it off to keep it clean. I love the number keyboard on the right instead of having to go up to the top to type the numbers in. It is very light and easy to take with me. "Using this laptop at home to replace an old desktop. So far, happy with the performance. Like the eco program to save power. Only problem/concern is the flat keyboard. Right now prefer the raised keys and feel of a traditional desktop keyboard. Also worried about the soft feel of the "click" mechanism on the keys and how they will hold up over time."

"I was given a older Toshiba laptop. The features were great, it would do everything that I wanted it to do, but it had Windows XP. It was much slower than my newer PC. So, being impressed with the quality and performance, I bought a brand new Toshiba. I am very happy with it. It is equal in speed to my fast PC. I love it! I connected it wirelessly, and can use it anywhere in the house, and outside on the patio."
