"I have a Toshiba A300 series which I love. But the cd unit failed, so thought I would try this one as a backup. I shoud have waited for windows 8 and got a better unit.. The speakers are tinny sounding..Guess I expected more...Sorry..."

"Not as good as my similarly priced similarly featured Acer. Both are inexpensive but the Acer has some features that are missing on this one; a light that blinks when the computer is "working," a key to open and close the dvd drawer, and a couple other nice touches."

"This Toshiba is a great value! Light, quiet, runs fairly cool & has a nice fan. Not to much garbage preloaded like you would get on a Dell. 4 gigs of RAM, 500 GB HD for under 400. Nice bright screen, no dead pixels, however has somewhat of a narrow viewing angle. Plastic Keyboard feels delicate, we will see how it wears. Ram is upgradeable to 16 GB. Comes with a decent AMD dual processor, seems to be taxed a bit by running flash (not too surprising)... Overall this is basically the best value for your money that I found out there. I'd recommend this to a friend..."
