"It wasn't just the 17 inch screen that sold me but all the extras like a blue ray player, it's also lighting fast and powerful. For a unit this size it is not heavy and has a great keyboard while feeling very solid. I highly recommend this model for every reason, price included."

"Used it the first day I owned it on a photoshoot. I teather the Camera to the computer that way clients can see images as they are taken and bam worst nightmare ever. the Screen starts flickering non-tstop. So I closed the laptop and opened it. worked fine for a few minutes and them it happened again. After 3 attempts I decided to just turn the darn thing off and shoot without the computer. In other words made me look to the client that I had bad quality equipment. After my embarrassment I tried to just get over it as suck it up maybe it was a once in a lifetime kind of thing. Few days later I noticed that It was still happening. Solution was closing the screen and opening it. but sometimes that wouldn't work. Now its to the point that it happens ever time I'm on it. As a matter of fact its happening right now as I type this review. I plan on setting up a service or maybe just returning it because I have been very unpleased with my first Toshiba product. so to sum up this review. This computer made me look like an amateur because I was unable to provide teathered shooting for a commercial photography gig so it gets 0 stars."

"I like this computer--my main complaint is the keyboard which to me has excessive flexing/bowing when I type---I am told that this will not have an effect on the function or performance of the laptop--it just surprises me that Toshiba would use such a flimsy feeling board---does not give me the confidence that this unit will last very long"

"This laptop runs fast, and has a great screen size. The graphics are pretty good, and although windows 8 has a bit of getting used to, it actually is a lot better than previous versions of windows. Toshiba did very well at integrating Toshiba and Windows 8 together to make the experience better. I love the HDMI port so I can watch movies on my tv with the family."

"i wrote my recovery to a USB drive using the restore utility using the recommended 16 GB thumb drive, when i ran the restore it wiped my recovery partition and corrupted my boot partitions on my thumb drive and hard drive if it happens to you be warned so far toshiba has been everything but helpful in getting me the required materials to restore my computer wont even give me my windows product key."
