"I have always liked Toshiba. They make a good and reliable product. I cannot say the same for Windows 8. They should have stuck with the old start menu. Also, I do a lot of research and use microsoft word constantly but for some reason it formats the papers differently than from windows 7. Very frustrating!!!! I should not have to go back in and re-format my work."

"My 2nd Toshiba, other is a 15 " screen. This 17" is so much better, fast downloads, sets up easily. Only con is Windows 8, but it comes on all brands of computers."

"I wasn't crazy about the mouse pad but fixed that with a wireless mouse. Win 8 takes a little time to get used to. I use the laptop just about everyday and it works great."

"This is the first laptop I've owned and it runs well so far. I'm not a whiz on computers who does all kinds of complicated stuff with a laptop, but for my uses--word processing and surfing the internet, it works fine and runs much quicker than my old computer. The large screen size is nice--I use the laptop as a desktop plugged into a keyboard, but have the flexibility to take it with me if I go somewhere."

"The email contact list doesn't import along with the yahoo email although all the emails that haven't been deleted are accessible. Therefore, I'm not able to initiate emails without using an incoming to respond, then deleting all of the incoming I don't want to send.
I don't open the bulk mail because it automatically opens to the most recent, which makes it vulnerable to a virus.
There is no value in showing all the emails sent since I started using yahoo.
I haven't been able to get to google, and when I open bing, there is no line to type in the subject I want to find."

"The user interface with Windows 8 is horrible. The mouse barely works, I had to make an extra expenditure to buy a wireless mouse just so I could use the computer. I have two other Toshiba laptops and they are fantastic, this is why I purchased this one. I'm sorry I did."

"The screen size and features of this laptop are amazing. It's battery life is a little weak, but the laptop makes up for it with it's performance. There has been minor software issues, but I believe that is simply because Windows 8 is still in it's early stage.
When I tell how much I paid for this computer most people don't believe me. I highly recommend it. Yes it is not the top of the line can play any video game laptop. However for business, catching up on the news, watching streaming media, and running multiple tasks I would highly recommend this laptop."

"So far, so good. The on-board mouse pad was very sensitive and the cause of many mistakes. Once I got an external mouse, all went well. Saying that understand I am an old duffer and not real handy. But so far, I am pleased."

"My children and I all use this laptop, we all love it. It works great for school work and takes up very little space. I can run the battery to 7% and it takes about 30 minutes to get back to a full charge!!! Great Product!!"

"Laptop not easy to use unless you are a computer expert. I absolutely hate Windows 8. Battery life not good. Would still have my last Toshiba but internet explorer and Java have serious issues. Makes me doubt the reliability of the computer."

"I originally got this computer for Christmas, opened the box, and was happy to see a nice sized screen and a good looking computer. I quickly came to realize that the disk drive was not put on correctly and was hanging out. GREAT! Time for a return. I had no problems returning the laptop and getting another one. My SECOND Toshiba laptop seemed to be working okay for about the first day, and then BAAM! I noticed the battery life was not normal at all for a Toshiba, and then it constantly kept telling me to restart the laptop and was operating very, very slow plus freezing. So just today I got a popup telling me that the battery life was poor, and the battery would need to be replaced. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This time I will not be getting another Toshiba, I will be getting money back and going with something else."

"I love my new laptop. When I first got it, it would shut down because of an error quite often. Also, I have a wireless printer, and it's pretty easy to hook up to a laptop, this laptop though would not hook up wirelessly. One thing I don't care for is the libraries (Pictures, music, videos, documents) tend to stop working, and I'm unable to get my files back. Other then that, its great."
