"Worked perfectly straight out of the box. Love the fast performance, lightweight, great for webcam skyping, backlit keyboard is brillant. Not so great is the split touchpad but that seems to be everywhere now. Also Toshiba page sometimes takes over the work I'm doing but I think is only requires softward adjustment."

"I had some initial problems with it: The wireless card failed after 3 weeks. Retailer replaced entire unit. Also found that entire unit must be disassembled to install additional memory...poor desigh"

"I was hesitant to buy while reading reviews. Observed that all the bad reviews were from people with little knowledge of computers so I bought. No issues with touch pad. alum case is nice compared to all the plastic cases. Playing ArmA 2 Day Z mod with no problems. HD intergrated gets a bad wrap. It gets me by on the road. Keyboard has nice feel and backlit is a must for any user that lacks good night vision. What would you do00oo for a klondyke bar."

"Touch Pad of this laptop is very, very hard to use. Whevever it brushes, the unwaned area is highlighted and hard to be back. The arrow pointer is jumpy and not be easyly point the area I wanted. Our family is a big fan of Toshiba. My two sons have Toshipa laptops but this time, it is a big mistake."

"With an i5 processor, 6 meg of ram, and a 7200 rpm HDD, this laptop should be much faster. It takes longer in searching the HDD and the internet that I feel that it should. Yes, it's faster that the 5 year old laptop it replaces, as it should be, but it doesn't seem as fast as my wife's 2 year old Gateway that has more modest specs. The touchpad is inconsistent in responding; sometimes it responds when my finger barely touches it, and sometimes it ignores my taps. At times it is too sensitive and at others it isn't sensitive enough. I'm still trying to re-train myself to adapt to this inconsistency."

"I have had my e305 for exactly one month now, since day one it has been subject to constant sudden shutdowns out of nowhere, it loses contact with the home network constantly, and god forbid WiDi works consistantly. I have not installed any third party programs only Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I had an a135 before, a very problematic computer but it worked through everything, even being 5 years old I can still use it to watch movies and web surf reliablely, the same cannot be said for the e305"
