"In the past few years I've mostly converted to using Mac computers but our company uses some Windows machines for testing purposes and specific software needs. Toshiba had the best reviews I'd found so that's what I went with for my Windows laptop. Likes: The machine is fast, which of course is a plus. I really like the side numeric keypad. Dislikes: The fan is loud but I find Windows machines run "hotter" than Macs so I guess this isn't that unexpected. My biggest gripe is that it doesn't have a lit keyboard. Makes it very difficult to work in low light (and frankly it would have changed my purchase choice had I realized how hard it would be to use in dimly lit settings). For the price, however, I am satisfied."

"It had clearly been too long a time coming for a replacement and I was very happy to see a Toshiba in my price-point. This laptop works great, is fast (particularly in comparison to 8yr old tech). The screen is nice (a bit reflective at times though). I'm getting used to the wide format, but it allowed room for the 10-key on the keyboard. Keys have a nice feel to them. The placement of the webcam controls on the screen is annoying, but I'm guessing when I reach that point, there'll be a way to move it elsewhere."

"A basically ok laptop for home use. I find the keyboard difficult to get use, many typos as a result as I'm a fast typist. I find the battery depletes fast even when laptop is in hibernation mode."
