"Windows 7 is not compatible with so many things. A big problem. Even savy techies are having trouble. Internet incompatible/ old router incompatible.
Do not like the cord plug ins on the side. Want them on the back."

"I've only had this machine for a few weeks and have NOT had much time todevote to it . I've spent most of my time trying to restore the info and programs from my HP laptop that failed. (that's the reason I bought this PC. Lots new on this pc, also I had Windows 98 AND vista , Now have Windows 7. Too much to learn to give a fair evaluation."

"I replaced my ThinkPad T43 with this model and I kick myself for not doing so sooner. Windows 7 is very enjoyable to look at and its performance adds a boost to my productivity. The screen is clear and crisp. Even with multiple programs running in multiple windows response is very quick. Although it did not come over loaded with bloatware, the repeated Norton splashes are annoying...but nothing that cannot be uninstalled. After about four weeks of use, my criticisms are: (1) the face recognition system is either too sensitive or I have an unrecognizable face. It takes multiple attempts to set it up and multiple attempts to log on. (2) the shell of the unit is 100% genuine plastic and has a cheap feeling to it. Although I would be able to recommend this unit for its performance, I would qualify my recommendation for the cheap plastic."

"I did buy it because i`d have another toshiba laptop before and it was great , but it got old and i have to replace it.
The new one it`s very slow , very poor battery running time , I`m not happy at all

"This is my second Toshiba Laptop. I appreciate Toshiba design and quality. I must say, however, that I am disappointed in this laptop (compared to my older one), in that the wireless capability is noticeably diminished. That is, on battery power,I can be within 10 feet of my wireless router and still not have sufficient signal strength to hold an internet connection. I suspect part of the problem is in the laptop's antenna arrangement; I must connect to AC power in order to maintain reliable signal. This is not the case with my older Toshiba laptop. Perhaps it is because the AC cord is designed to be a part of the antenna system on this new machine."

"Great home computer. Like the wide screen. 10-key is nice feature. A little larger than the compact models I use for work, but I wanted the 17" screen so I expected that. The touch-pad is a little quirky but since I use a mouse most of the time, it's not a big deal for the occasional time I need to use it. I wished the space bar were a bit larger, or shifted right on the key board. I'm a right-thumb-space typer and because of hand position on the keyboard the space bar isn't always responsive to the right thumb typing."

"I have had this unit for about 2 months now. First off, I have to say, for a 17" laptop, it weighs no more than my older Dell 15". Windows 7 64bit & 4 gigs of RAM runs PhotoShop CS5 & Bridge quite well! No hang ups, fast, efficient! Can't imagine what it will be like when I do add another 4 gigs. The screen is bright and clear, overall, this is quite a wonderful unit. If I have any complaints, it is the battery, 3 hrs top! Most of the time I am plugged in anyway. Only one other thing that would be nicer would be a couple of more USB ports."

"My daughter has a Toshiba and I like hers but this one is not so great. It is slow to boot up, sluggish, battery doesn't seem to last 3 hours. Wish I had taken more time to compare with HP and Lenovo."

"This comuter is very fast with lots of great features. Love the 17" screen. There are some drawbacks though that make this computer less than it could be. The keyboard is very user unfriendly. The keys are so flat and have no feel to them. Do love the numeric keypad though. The ports that are most used should be on the left as mouse cable plugged into USB port on right interferes with both the disk drive and the mouse. Overall I am a little disappointed and my wife really doesn't like it. If I had it to do over I would purchase a different computer."

"The resolution of the 17" screen is compatible to professional publishing monitors I've used. This combined with the computers speed make an enjoyable experience. Being retired, I use the computer for web surfing and woodworking design. Wished that the computer included a telephone connection so I could use the included fax software."

"After looking for a 17+ Inch computer and reading a lot of reviews and going to the store to see how they look and what they have for the money I wanted to spent on a new laptop, I found this one is the best you can get in this category, I mainly use it for music, watch youtube videos, browsing the internet and edit pictures and I have no problems, computer response very fast with the dual prossesor and 4gb of ram, wifi is excellent and easy to setup actually the laptop looks for all the wifi available you just need to click connect and put the key number of your router to connect at home and the laptop will remember so if you disconnect next time you just need to click connect no need to put the router key again, there is only one problem with the wifi, when you disconnect from the power outlet and work on battery make sure your power option is on high performance other way wifi keep disconnecting but if you are just working offline you can choose a different power option to extend battery time, about battery is about 3hours just make sure you don't block the bottom ventilation hole because fan is going to work more often and reduce battery time (if you have the budgt get extra batteries and no problen with battery life problems), keyboard is very good, screen size is excellent and very clear, but not good if your going to use it for editing pictures because you can not adjust color, contrast and so many necesary adjustments for editing, but at home you can connect it to a real monitor if you're going to use it for editing, sound is good but low, hard disk not the best but very good and fast, cd/dvd drive writes and read very well, a little vibretion when is working but an ok drive, storage excellent 500GB more than enough for a laptop, card reader one of the best I've ever used, 2 usb outlets, well actually 3 because the 3rd one is a combo outlet you can use it as a usb or sata outlet, and for those ones that are looking for a laptop with a HDMI outlet there is one in this laptop, overall for the price of this laptop is a great buy, the only thing I wish this one had is a phone modem for dial up use ( in case power outrage or on the go where there is no dsl or cable service, but today is very hard to find it on laptops, so you have to spend a few dollars in an external one just in case you need it), I can say I love this computer for this price ( just wait when is on sale and you can save almost a couple hundred as I did)."

"I'm enjoying my new Satellite L675D-S7104 Laptop very much. It has everything I need in a personal computer for a very reasonable price. I like the larger display and the numeric key pad. The only small criticism I have is that the spacebar is shorter than most, which took some adjusting on my part...not really a big problem."

"My Toshiba seems to be a good computer so far. I was a bit upset when I got it home, because I'd asked to have the Norton virus protection taken off at the store, and it wasn't. I was able to remedy that myself, but think that when a store says they will do something, that should be done!! Also, sometimes the mouse feature doesn't work quite as I'd like it to. The cursor doesn't always seem to go where I want it to."

"This has replaced my desktop! 17.3 on the screen along with 4gb of RAM and the 500gb Hard drive and I can do anything I need and more, this system is even capable of gaming or video encoding. I love it and have recommended to several of my customers. Yeah it's a big but it is SOOOOO worth it."

"This is the first brand new computer we've purchased in several years, and the first laptop we've ever had. It has replaced a desktop pc used at home and totally outperforms anything else we've owned. The primary use is internet access, but it also needs to maintain photos, music and video. (As of this writing, I haven't loaded any video, so cannot comment on that specific feature.) The included software is adequate for our needs. We recently tried using Skype for the first time and it was great. However, when I powered up the laptop that morning, there was a message that the webcam was not working. It had totally disappeared from the desktop for no discernible reason. The instruction manual had the information needed to get the webcam operational again, but I still don't know what caused the problem in the first place. If there are no other mysterious issues in the future, we will continue to be thrilled with our choice."

"This is the third laptop my family has owned and it has by far the best performance. Setup was remarkably easy. Brought it home, took it out of the box, plugged it in, logged on to our wireless network and we were done. Incredibly fast. Monitor is crystal clear. Keyboard not ideal, but I was able to adapt and now i have no problems with it at all.
I am very pleased with this laptop."
