"this is the first computer i have ever owned. needless to say i don't know much about them. it has a bunch of features i don't have a clue about and will have to get somebody to show me how to use. battery life is exactly as advertised. i'm really liking it so far."

"I have only one comlplaint. I don't like the tap action to change screens, it is very anoying. I now use a wireless mouse. The computer is great I really like it."

"We have been buying Toshiba for years. actualy we have bought nothing but Toshiba. They have been great. We have had a couple of minor issuses but nothing serious. keep up the good work."

"Blue ray player works great the sound on all over all from 1 thru 10 its a (7) but don't expect any bass reflex but it's a computer right. Wish I could have got one with harmon/kardon speakers, I test some of thoughs at staples, (10) but they were $300.00 more for those models. Maybe next time at least the DB' s (louder) are about double of my old satellite A305."

"I have been a faithful Toshiba laptop user for years. This is the first time I have been completely dissatisfied. Within a week, it had speaker issues. Soon after it started freezing up. Then, it would shut down and only start up again after a few hours. Finally, it wouldn't run at all. I had to send it to be repaired for a failed disc after owning it for two months."

"This is a great laptop/ notebook. Easy to set up and use. Great screen size. The colors jump off the screen at times. My only complaint is that the sound is a bit on the tinny side. If you want to play movies or listen to music, then earphones are the way to go....or maybe some add-on speakers."

"This is the seventh Toshiba laptop computer I have owned over the last 15 years. In the beginning of this streak, after excruciating research, I chose to buy a Toshiba Satellite because it was the most value for the money. Since then I rarely look at other brands. About two years ago I was pleased to see that Toshiba was #2 for reliability in a lineup of the top 10 laptop manufacturers of laptop computers. Dell and HP were in the bottom 50%. None of my Satellites have ever had a mechanical failure. Well, I did have to replace an LCD panel after I drove off with the laptop on the roof of my SUV .... THE SECOND TIME! The four-star marks for Performance and Battery Life should be interpreted in the proper context. For battery life, my three Satellites in use today have 17" screens, which will deplete the battery on any brand comparatively quickly. I expect to get 90 minutes on the battery, and the Toshibas meet this expectation. Secondly, on performance, Satellites are quintessential laptops with Mobile CPUs and without dedicated graphics cards, and hence are slower than desktop computers, especially with 3D-intensive games. For Internet, Office Apps and Video, the Satellite has plenty of horsepower. I chose this Satellite because the AMD triple-core processor converts between video formats, such as from DVD to iPod Video, very quickly. For overall Price-Value, definitely five stars. Recently, I have purchased a Toshiba LCD TV on two separate occasions. Once again, top tier quality at an outstanding price."
