"When I decided to go to law school, I traded in a desktop for this small, super-transportable laptop. I purchased my machine on Black Friday 2011. For the first year of its use, I thought I was getting a great bang for my buck. I didn't need a super-featured PC, just something to keep my notes and perform some research on. I even managed to do some gaming at lower performance settings. So, for the most part, I like the computer. But about a month ago, I noticed the computer getting slow. I scanned for viruses, defragmented the machine, and removed as many unnecessary programs as I could find, to no avail. Last week, my computer stopped booting. It was at this point I took it in for service to discover my hard drive was failing. I find it beyond coincidence that a major component to the computer lasted barely two months beyond the standard warranty. Frankly, I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you intend to keep it for only a brief period of time. The money I had to put into this computer to get it working again has cancelled out the gains I received in buying a lower-performing, base model. I cannot comment on the battery life of the original battery because I upgraded to a super-battery since I have to be on my laptop all day. In that regard, no complaints. Just avoid the laptop itself if at all possible."

"I have had a dozen or more lap-tops in my life but, never a brand new one. With my personal economy in a constant state of recession, I have always bought pre-owned laptops so I had a lot of expectations when I bought my first brand new one. I must say that my Toshiba Satellite L745-s4310 has met all of my expectations and then some. All around awesome computer!"

"I bought this Laptop to replace my 7 year old Toshiba Satellite and I am very, very pleased. While I upgraded the memory on my old PC, i don't think I will need to upgrade this one's memory. It is fast and I am getting 6 hours on the battery. I use it for on the road and in the house convenience and it will suit my needs for a long time based on my previous experience with Toshiba."

"I would say "best performance for price", but that would be an understatement! I had an Acer One for three years, though it still 'works'... I needed something that had more power and performance. This is so fast and can do many things at one time without 'bogging down'. This computer has a great screen size and is light weight. I love how sharp videos are on it and even has night mode for webcam (great for me because my house isn't brightly lit) way longer battery than old computer but not seeing the 5 hour time (but then again my settings are not for power saving). Great computer and great value!!!!"

"Nice laptop and good performance for the money. I didn't need this to be an engineering capable computer, but it performs rather nicely with 3D rendering considering the price. So far, it's been a good computer."
