"I have not tried using the battery, so I'm not able to rate it. So far at 3 months, this laptop is performing to expectations. However, I was told I could record from the TV. This is not true, unless someone has found a convenient way to do it. I have a Toshiba with windows XP and I connect it to a capture box connected to my satellite receiver. But my capture device will not work with windows 7 and newer capture devices that do only record to hard drive in MPEG2 or DVD quality instead of a choice of several compressions. So most features on this computer will be rarely used."

"I have only one suggestion and that is in the location of the USB ports on the extreme right hand lower corner, they are a bit ackward there if you are using an external mouse in cramped conditions as you have a tendency to bump them."

"I have been shopping for a computer since November 2011. I read reviews and if the review has something negative that I cannot handle as I am not an expert, then I do not consider the computer. When I find good reviews, I take the spec's to my experts. This computer had minimal ...I mean minimal negative reviews, it had everhthing I wanted and my experts gave it a thumbs up on the the things they looked for. The cost was in my range and my search was over. I am highly satisfied with this computer."

"Perhaps it is merely an issue with this particular box. I will be calling support next week. The battery indicator told me I had over 2 hours left on battery life with an 80% charge - 10 min later the machine turned off because of low battery and when I stuck in the AC adaptor battery charge was less than 15%. This is my 3rd Toshiba laptop and except for the battery issue it is as good as the previous editions."

"its a great laptop only problem I have is the mouse pad is slow sometimes and it malfunctions i think there is a bug in the drivers."

"I had a dead pixel, it's off to the left and hard to notice. I decided to keep it because I didn't want to send it back and all that, but it's the best laptop I have ever owned. I would still recommend a Toshiba."
