"This computer looks great but the performance is very poor and frustrating. I just wanted a computer to check emails and seach the web. Very often, it looks like the computer turns off. When I push the botton to turn in on, it just doesn't. After a frustrating while, and several attempts to turn it on/off, somegow, it turns on."

"In the store it looked to be a nice system for the price,,,,but the price didn't make up for the keyboard not responding after two weeks and now as a full time student I will be without the use of same and my programs till it gets back from repaire, this is my first Toshiba and will be my last... "Wasn't inthe market for a laptop but bought this because I love my other Toshiba laptop and this seemed like a great bargain for a spare computer. Within two weeks of purchase, the screen cracked- the computer wasn't dropped or stepped on. All we can figure is that a thumb in the corner on opening the unit was just too much for it to handle. Aren't computers made to be used? Very disappointed."

"This is the first laptop computer I have owned. I am very happy with the computer. It runs very good and fast and the wireless feature works very good. The only problem I have with it is the battery, after a full charge it tells me there is between 2 and 3 hours but when used it only last about 1 and a half hours and needs to be recharged."

"This laptop allows users to perform all computer tasks, easily. It is fast, compact, and reasonably priced. If I could modify one feature on this computer, however, I would alter the touchpad to be more responsive. I use a mouse the majority of the time and am fortuneate that I do not have to use the computer commuting or somewhere where the mouse would not be practical. Still I am very satisfied with this computer!"

"I love my Toshiba laptop. Everything works as expected and then some. The only issue I have is the touch pad. It is totally disfunctional and tempermental. As it stands, I give this computer a B rating. However, if I discarded the touchpad for a mouse - I would raise my rating to an A."

"Agree with most all other reviews about the speakers. The sound from most all laptops is not the best and there is no reason for it. Bose makes tiny speakers that give out awesome sound. Why can't the laptop manufacturers install a quality sound system? As with most preinstalled computers, they tend to install a lot of unnecessary stuff. Because it has the Toshiba name attached to the files, it is difficult to know what can be safely removed from the taskbar. As soon as I was up and running, the first thing I did was to install revouninstaller and get that Norton software taken out. Including the 25 hidden files that Norton leaves behind after a regular uninstall. As for Windows 7, newer and bigger doesn't always translate to better. The windows explorer and control panel needs a retrograde back to a combination of 98 and XP. Making a buyer play hide and go seek for files that are essentially the same but are now somewhere else in the system does not in my mind, justify the higher cost of a new OS. In spite of what the computer came with, I would still recommend this unit."

"The speakers are the only real week point on a good laptop. With volume set on 100% the speakers do a poor job. News, instructional school videos, music, skype, it all sufferers from the very poor speakers. Modern life means your computer is a video phone,news source,study tool. Good speakers should no longer be an after thought. Good over all laptop , horrible speakers. Thank you for the chance to give my input."

"I researched reviews and spoke with my techie friends prior to purchasing a laptop and all responded favorably toward the Toshiba Satellite.
A feature very important to me was the 10-key pad off to the right of the keyboard. The size of letters and numbers makes it easy to write and work numerically.
I am adding an external speaker since the internal ones, as is typical with laptops, left my friends straining to hear the audio portion of a colleague's website, interrupted by their recurring request, "Can you make it any louder?" This shortfall shall be corrected by my next visit.
I also purchased Logitech's mouse for use on fabric, which is a blessing when sitting anywhere other than at my desk.
Overall, I am very pleased with the performance. I consider this a worthy purchase."

"This is my first time using a notebook computer, and for the price, this is a nice unit. Very easy to use, the built in tutorial is great, the screen is very bright and crisp, keyboard is easy to use, and it has great sound. It is very lightweight, and would be good for a student. "I ordered my lap top online. My son in law helped me make sure I had what I needed on my pc. Thankfully when it arrived I my home I was able to set it up and get started immediately. It was very easy. And I have been able to use my laptop for everything I need. Most importantly Skype with my new grandchildren:):)"

"No frills, no bells, no whistles - just an honest laptop that does what it does well. Liked the fact that there was no proprietary software to get rid of [Norton was installed but I already had a 3 machine account so that was good]. It is fast enough for most home tasks [although I don't play today's games on it so can't comment there]. I replaced my 'dead' [after 2 years] HP laptop at what I consider a very reasonable price. Recommended."

"Overall GOOD laptop. This is my first laptop (im only 15) but my sister just got a hp laptop also. Compared to her laptop, this laptop could be better. But for my usuage, just at home, its a pretty good laptop. I liked the design of the laptop when i bought it and now i feel like it is cheap and tacky. I really like the keys, there are very easy to type with. Personally, the dont like that the mouse pad is to the left of the laptop. sometimes i would bump into it when i type and the page will scroll up and down. I do NOT like the mouse pad on this computer. whenever i try to scroll the pointer to different places it will stall and this rectangle will pop up. VERY ANNOYING. Other than that the pentium processer works very well and the internet is fast and great. The webcam is very clear when i like to oovoo or skype to other people. I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy this laptop that is planning on it to take to college. it is a bit heavy and too large to carry around. I've had this laptop for about 3 months and had no problems with it so far. The battery life is not what i expected it to be. It does not last for 3 hours like it says. Mine will probably last for an hour and a half. Like i said, i dont take it anywhere out of the house so it doesnt bother me to charge it but still for other people i can see why it would get annoying. I do really like the big screen. Its easy to watch movies or catch up on tv shows you missed. I also do like the num lock keys on the side of the keyboard. It has a dvd player which i also really like. Overall this is a good laptop which could use some improving but for the price its a great buy."

"Got the Toshiba Satellite L750 laptop when my desktop pc was fried by lightening. Very pleased. It is easy to use, reliable, and fast. It is a good replacement for my desktop pc PLUS it'
s portable! I have a regular keyboard and monitor hooked up to it when I'm using it at home, which makes it a fine substitute for a desktop. My single, MINOR complaint is that the port for the monitor is just plugged in (not fastened with screws) and sometimes comes out. But this is a very minor complaint."

"I would definitely recommned this to a friend. If you're not a heavy gamer and use a laptop for mostly surfing the web and email, this is perfect. It's a great size, display is crystal clear, it has a full keyboard (with number pad), comes with Office 2010 Starter too! The starter edition isn't temporary; it works just like the full version except has ads.
My only complaint is the sound. No matter what I do, I cannot get the speakers volume up enough to hear some videos. Not a deal breaker though. I would still buy this again. The price was GREAT!"

"This is a great laptop. Have not had one issue since I got it, it runs quite fast, and I can even play some games off of Steam on it. The touchpad is iffy, but that's to be expected. I use a usb mouse instead and its fine. The eco utility is nice, too."

"Runs fine but audio has 2 problems. Output level too low even when at max. Also has a built in "auto level control" which makes the dynamic level "pump" up and down. If I knew this, I wouldn't have purchased. Maybe a software update might fix? Bueller? Bueller?"

"This is a very useable machine, and has replaced my desktops at work and at home. Since I am the co-owner of a small business, I am on the computer almost constantly researching, communicating with customers and vendors, bookkeeping, and creating forms and letters. I also use this computer to communicate with family, read the news, keep my calender schedules, and occasionally to play games. While it is a bit bigger than I was hoping to find, the full keyboard with 10-key is more than worth it, and despite its size, the weight is surprisingly light."

"After shopping for several weeks, I went with the Toshiba Satellite laptop because of all its features. Large screen, 10 digit keypad for data entry, build in SD card reader, and the best touch pad I've ever used. The speakers are disappointing. I have to use my old pc speakers to listen to music. Also I was unable to use my HP 4580 printer on the Satellite."
