"I am a consultant and needed a travelling office. This Toshiba fits the bill, a reasonably priced laptop with what I need for office applications and connectivity. Clear screen. The keyboard is a bit mushy compared to a desktop, that is the only drawback (I do a LOT of word processing). So ... I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse at home, but don't need them when I travel. If I had it to do over, I would still buy this laptop."

"This laptop replaced a 4 year old top of the line Dell that cost 7 times more. It does virtually everything the old Dell did and does it much faster. Due to poor experience with Dell reliability I specifically chose Toshiba because of their reputation for building reliable machines...so far it has been flawless. Particularly appreciated is the inclusion of a 10-key....something I require that's not available in many laptops. Fit and finish are excellent, nice on/off button for touch pad, very little 'bloatware' pre installed, easy to use original OS backup software (a few clicks, 16 GB flash drive and 30 minutes- done!) - all in all a very nice laptop at a extremely competitive price. For me it fits the highly recommended category."

"This Toshiba Satellite is such a great value for the price. It performs far beyond my expectations when I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a laptop for school work or even light gaming. I absolutely love it. I am even considering purchasing a Toshiba HD television now that I have tried one of their products. I am just loving Toshiba at this point. Insanely good product for the price seriously"

"In all of my research I found that the Toshiba was supposed to be the best. So far I am very happy with my computer. I have used Dell in the past and was not happy at all."

"This laptop is great for my purposes. Not everyone needs/wants the features I require/like so this review is based on personal preference/experience, use during 30 days, with no recommendation. Windows7 Home Premium, 64-bit was pre-installed with plenty of room for all/any additional software I use. LIKE: •Priced wonderfully low for what you get here •Slim and lightweight, excellent laptop portability • i-3 processor is fast, responsive and I like it because the bugs HAVE been worked out as opposed to i-5 and newer. •Large monitor is great for creating/viewing artwork. The clarity, definition provided is very good. Also nice for viewing DVD movies etc. •Sound system is clear, adjustable and strong enough to power plug-in speakers (although sound from laptop is sufficient) •'Sleep and Charge' feature has made my cumbersome 7-outlet surge protector a thing of the past •Mouse-toggle option is great because I often use an art tablet/pen instead. If I'm mobile, I can always switch to laptop mouse for everyday computer use. Mouse reacts instantly; no lag and only light finger movement required. •The 10-key is great because of my accounting background; I find it much easier/faster to use THESE numbers as opposed to the ones on keyboard. •Keyboard is nice and sensitive so that I barely have to touch these letters to type, which has increased my wpm. •3D Sensor feature is excellent, shutting down hard drive upon 'accidental' impact (I've killed previous laptops by dropping, or when painting - shoving right off my art table) •Battery life averages 5-7 hours; I disconnect AC as soon as battery is 100% charged, then use battery until alerted that battery has 30 minutes life remaining. Have been using this model, L755-S5271, for one month and find it satisfactory for all my needs. That's why I bought a second one; the hard drive on my first somehow fried after 2 weeks. My Restore Disk was useless, my monitor went black. Fortunately I had no problem with Seller warranty and was able to get the second Satellite laptop quickly. I can honestly say there is nothing I don't like about this model; I've gone through many laptops of all brands including earlier Toshiba models. I'm a rough handler of laptops and find myself using one under all kinds of conditions/in almost any kind of environment. I'd be interested in seeing if everything reviewed above is still true a year from now."
