"My Toshiba L870 is the third Toshiba in two years as the first two have been stolen. I have been very happy with Toshiba and my last one I totally loved. This one I have issues with (Not performance) but the fact that it has Windows 8 installed. (I hate it). Never had software that had to be update so often, take up to hours to do it, and restart for each each update. I still has many problems and functions that don't work right. I am also very disappointed that Toshiba has decided a 12 cell battery is no longer necessary and hasn't made one available for the L870. I had one for my previous L770, which was stolen and I need to replace what I had. I take multiple long trips out of the country and the standard 6 cell does not give me capacity I need. I was also disappointed that Toshiba removed the convenient button to disable/enable the touchpad."

"I bought this laptop a month ago. It's good-fast, performance is ok, and with lots of features(None of the Microsoft Office apps included even though it says so). But the real problem is with hardware. The keyboard part of this laptop shakes like it's gonna come off right now. It is NOT comfortable to type with that keyboard. Also, exterior side is made from a simple plastic that can be scratched easily. The most important thing I want to say is--its sound. NOT GOOD AT ALL! On top of that, sometimes sound doesn't play automatically(turns off). Overall, this product is not as advertised. Didn't like it!"

"After seeing my son's Toshiba I knew I wanted one too. So I sold my Samsung 15" and bought the Toshiba 17". Everything about it is fantastic. I love how it operates, fast and efficient. The style is super nice. I got the Satellite Silver. I highly recommend this laptop. I really do LOVE it!"

"At the moment, I don't know if it the computer or window 8, I have been getting quite a few error with the computer and it is very frustrating. I should not be experiencing this problem especially with a new computer."
