"Great Value for the Money. It is much faster than my old laptop & my old desktop. Windows 8 is only shortcoming. I will get used to using Windows 8 and this will be great. Big Screen is something I wanted when I don't have it hooked to home monitors."

"This laptop is light weight and economical. Not a high performance machine, but perfect for anyone that needs the internet and office applications. It's light weight gives it a flimsy feel but that is just a product of the reduced weight. The major issue is the battery. On numerous places across the internet you can find people discussing the fact that the battery doesn't charge. And yet, Toshiba continues to produce machines with this issue. I tried updating drivers and software to no avail. Even if that approach did work, I shouldn't have to do it with a new computer. Because nothing worked, I returned the laptop. Screen resultion was fine, and the speed was fine. But if the battery issue isn't addressed, none of those other factors matter."

"I bought this laptop since last October and it`s been working great. I’m not a big fan working with windows 8 because there`s still compatibility problems with some softwares, so I changed to windows 7 and it`s working excellent. I recommend this laptop for business and homework."

"just bought this laptop for Christmas and when I started running it I was simply amazing!!! the performance, the graphics everything in this computer is awesome. great function and great gaming graphics. I recommend this laptop to everyone who wants fast and good performance for the daily use in a laptop."

"because unlike any Toshiba I have bought before, you can ONLY use the windows 8 operating system. You can't install an older version of windows. You can't install Linux. I will be donating this laptop to charity and finding a hardware vendor that allows me to choose my own software. You've lost a faithful customer Toshiba."

"I’m writing this review because others have done so in the past on other websites on various products and I find that they are very helpful to us consumers. This is my way of paying it forward. I’ve had my Toshiba for about two weeks and so far so good. I’m happy! I bought this laptop as a replacement for my old 2006 Laptop which recently died on me. I wanted a new one any way so I’m glad my old one died. (RIP you old dinosaur Ha_Ha-Ha) At first I was very intimidated by Windows 8 which is not immediately very user friendly but now I’m sailing on a sea of easy as 123. This Toshiba is very fast. The startup and web pages load very quickly and I love it! I find the silver color to be very stylist as I don’t like all black laptop….boring! I love the HDMI which makes connecting to my TV also simple as 123. It was plug and play right out of the box as far as connecting to my wireless internet. The SD slot is also a big plus. In fact I’m about to upgrade the memory from the standard 4 gigs and make it even faster. I am very happy so far with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend."

"Have been very happy with it. Had one issue where it wouldn't recognize my camera to download pics but I was able to take the memory card out of the camera and plug it into the front and that worked fine. I'll try the camera direct again to make sure their wasn't user error."
