"My new Toshiba laptop does everything I hoped it would do. It's fast and I've adapted quickly to Windows 7 from HomeOffice XP, although I'm still occasionally baffled by my documements disappearing prematurely. My previously purchased HDMI cable works like a charm in connecting to my Sony Bravia TV, so I can watch online video content, and I'm enjoying communicating with my out-of-state grandchildren on Skype. I had one technical crisis when the laptop stayed on the blank screen after flashing the "Toshiba" logo. But that hasn't happened again. I was finally able to read the message that quickly flashes at the bottom of the screen saying to press F12, so maybe that's the solution. I would have preferred longer battery life, but 3 hours is sufficient. And I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the speaker sound ... a big plus for a laptop. The keyboard is very user friendly and responsive, and the size and weight of my 14-inch screen suit me just fine. All in all, I think this is a terrific laptop which I highly recommend. I had the use of my company's Dell laptop before I just retired. But I prefer the size and feel of the Toshiba, which is the first laptop I've owned."
