"This is a great device with many great specks and features. The main problems I found is a average battery life, a poor graphics card, and even though it has a core i5 processor programs and mostly the internet run very slowly."

"Feature and performance wise been very happy with it. use it when traveling. Love the built in webcam and media reader. The Bluray drive is an added bonus that I've used for watching movies My only negative is the battery which has slowly failed to the point I'm getting a constant suggestion to replace the battery"

"I have had Toshiba in the past and have liked it. Sound is better than the Dells we have at home. Though, on this model the keyboard takes extra effort on each key than an average laptop, so get ready for your fingers' workout. It said 7 hours battery life when I purchased it, but it barely gets to 1.5. So I guess it is the same story as the EPA mileage on cars, all unreal data. Also, the touchpad is quite sensible and has made me accidentally move folders into other folders in 2 steps: a) open a folder and move around to try to open a sub-folder. The touchpad is weird, as compared to the other laptops at home. It thought it was only me, but my family members commented the same."

"i got this laptop from US sometime around August and I actually got it open Sept 6, After charging and checking the PC Health Monitor, i discovered my battery is "Fair" and after two weeks, It degraded to poor which doesnt last more than 2hrs 30mins at "Poor" stage. I think the battery is bad from the factory because I discovered it has been plugged into my system instead of separating it as they did to Charger otherwise its a great system......My friends tagged it MACHINE."

"all toshiba products have all the hardware that is up to date problem is alot of the laptops have power supply problems or shorts within the motherboard , this is my second toshiba sat. and i had to recently send my laptop in once again due to the computer losing power for no reason and shutting down totally ."

"this is my first laptop ,I have played around on some . I did not know if I wanted a14" or a15.6". I chose the 14". So how do I like it, well I think it is a great laptop , I like the size of it, it's not that heavy, it's a compact laptop. Good job done TOSHIBA. But I think you should have a little bigger battery, for the price of the outfit or you can add a AC Mobile Power Inverter, so you can run or charge your laptop from your car."

"We use this laptop primarily as a basic communications unit. Was easy to become part of the home network,(knows more about our home wireless than we do), kind of scary. Anyway, this laptop is a replacement and is definitely impressive. Have use this laptop on&off for 6hrs and still have battery lite. Keyboard is sensitive and comfortable. I don't like the CAPS LOCK key lamp not being identifyed on the top portion of the keyboard,"

"After having a lap top that kept failing, I wanted to have a laptop that performed well, had lots of memory and worked fast. I found this in the Toshiba. The battery life is not too long but this does not matter since I keep it plugged in and do not use it on the road. There is no number section on the side but I never used that anyway."

"The laptop eliminated the waiting time of my older Internet tower. My main complaint is that Toshiba does not provide a detailed printed explanation of the keyboard. My initial problem was that I hit the WiFi button unknowingly and couldn't access the Internet. I had to return to the dealer to discover that this. I have not yet left my home with the unit to test its portability."

"I bought this Toshiba based on all of their magazine advertising. It presented itself as a good value and it looked sharp, for it also had the I-5 processor and Blu-ray. While I love the size of the 14", it is very slow and not what I expected. I expected faster processor and general overall operating performance."

"15 minute start up process. Goes from can't start windows to can't repair problem to finally starting. Controls or videos on other websites don't always work even though the latest software is installed. Shows some icon picture of two computers (open target panel) and and then I have to use tab key to get around since I can't click on or through the icon to do what I need without getting rerouted to some Toshiba site."

"I'm happy so far with this laptop. It is lightweight, the battery doesn't need to be recharged too often, and was easy to set up. There are a few things I wish were different: the keys are a bit slippery and are hard to see if I'm typing in a dim place. I also wish the monitor could bend back a little bit farther. But overall, it works as promised."

"This is my 2nd Toshiba Satellite, and I continue to be impressed with Toshiba laptop's performance and durability. The upgraded speakers on the Satellite P745 are KILLER! And I like the Blu Ray disc player as well. Overall, features, huge memory, great graphics, and a pretty decent battery life, not a bad Toshiba at all. There are no such things..."

"The only thing I would improve would be the ability to resize screen fonts and their compatibility with other software. It really is hard to read and even when I make them larger too. You can't go too big because the software programs cannot adjust or don't work well with the fonts adjustments. My older Toshiba laptop did not have a problem with that."

"This is my first laptop. Since nearly everyone I know has a Toshiba laptop, I chose the same band. The web cam's resolution is very poor--in the 1 mp range. Otherwise the machine seems satisfactory. I have used Windows XP for 10 years; Microsoft"s Windows 7 OS is a chore to use. After a month, I am still struggling with it."

"Touchpad should not be flush with surface of laptop, and the keyboard lock button should not be so close to touchpad. Power input is better located in the rear, not the side. Plastic housing seems rather flimsy. Windows 7 is somewhat awkward to use; actually not as good for the every day home user as was Windows XP."

"The placement of the lighted operation keys at the top of this laptop makes it easy to use. The picture and sound quality on this laptop is awesome! I love watching movies on it. "This laptop is sitting on top of my old Toshiba Satellite;A25-S307. It is on its 2nd HD and 7yrs old. I have purchased many Toshiba products over ths years, and this new P745-S4320 is a tool that meets my expectation as all my Toshiba products. Toshibas support staff were exellent in helping me set up my New P745-S4320. Be smart, do your homework and you will find there is very little compition where Toshibas laptops are concerned."
