"Use this lap on avg about 50 hrs a week with no problems so far. Upgraded to Samsung 830 256 SSD, Corsair 16GB Ram and W7 Pro 64-bit and now boots up in 12 secs flat! Like the backlit keyboard which you can set in bios. Only minor knock would be the dvd tray door hanging up on the power cord,, Toshiba needs to move the power plug to opposite side and then problem would be solved."

"I just recieved the lap top and haven't used it enough to give an honest opinion on the lap top it self. My experience with Toshiba Direct was not very good. I am not sure I would use them again."

"I'm generally pretty happy with this laptop. It is the second Toshiba laptop I've owned. The first bit the dust after 5 years and I tried replacing it with a cheaper brand floor model. After a year of frustration I gave that piece of junk to my son and bought another Toshiba. I love the backlit keyboard...it is great to use when watching tv. Since I often type with the laptop on my lap, I'm finding that the buttons below the keypad are a bit oddly placed; they are way-far forward and I'm having a difficult time getting used to them. The features are great (as expected) and so is the speed...things download very quickly. My battery has been lasting about 3 hours, which is less than I'd like but about what I'd expected, given previous reviews. All in all, I'm very pleased and will continue to purchase Toshiba products in the future.."

"over all lap was worthy but battery life low battery charging down with in 2-3 h even i put eco mode (low power use age).. remaining all features are good.I taken Toshiba lap for long battery but I didn't satisfy."

"The speakers on this lap top are great. I very seldom have to turn them up past 30. The battery life, once calibrated last 2 to 3 hours. I bought the 12 cell winch lasts upwards of 6 hours. The screen is bright and the colors vibrant. The back-lit keys are great!!"

"Purchased this model mainly due to its fast processor and large amount of RAM, as I do a lot of financial numerical analysis, which requires powerful computers. So far I'm happy with the speed at which my programs run, and I can't complain about the added goodies, including the bright screen and great graphics, responsive keyboard, and large HD. Unless I'm doing something wrong with it, I think the bundled webcam is inferior to most other brands today, but that is not a major concern to me."

"The unit was purchased to replace a desk top computer. To that demanding end, I find it serviceable and adequate. Any complaints I have with the machine is actually with Toshiba direct. The unit was put on sale by a national retailer for 20% less than the "Direct" sale price, moments after I installed my software.... Nice machine though."
