"The laptop is sleek, comfortable and the graphics are incredible. The only thing I would have done differently would have been the processor. If I had been paying better attention, I would have purchased a faster processor than the I3. Even with that, it's a great laptop, and I'm very pleased with the product.."

"I am going to write this review without editing. I'm a ver good typist...
Everything about this computer has been good except for one thing. the keyboard. The sace bar doesn't take a lot of the time as well as other keys on the keyboard. the shift key is another issue as you can seeI've already had 2 words that it didn't take on. It's really frustrated others when they've used it. I don't want to sed it back and wait 2weeks for it to get fixed. Besides that, it's great. much better than the HP's that i've had in thepast."

"Bought it for college. I have NO complaints! I love it! It's my first laptop ever and I don't regret buying a Toshiba. It's a core i3 but it is excellent! I use my laptop everyday and all day long. No problems :) had it for about 4 months now. Defiantly a great computer."

"going from a HP to a Toshiba was like going from the stone age to shooting men to mars. i was impressed to find out how reliable this laptop really is (been dropped 4 or 5 times). it's really easy to use, the sound quality is great, the clear picture and the many features and options it gives are also nice. i only have 4 complaints: key's some times stick but very rare. for some reason about once every 2 weeks my volume controls randomly stop working and i have to go in and manually turn them up or down. (not a big problem). also, if there is an option to turn off the power button's light it gives off, i haven't found it but i do find it kind of annoying with it glowing all the time. after the 3 or 4 months of owning it, i've only experienced 1 glitch which sadly ended up in me having to restart the laptop. however, everything i was working on (word, websites) were saved. no other problems have come up other than those. above all: a great laptop with great features, picture and sound. as a Soldier on deployment, a tough, reliable, light weight, and portable laptop are a must. this laptop exceeds all of those. Well done Toshiba!"

"When our computer crashed, we went to the store to buy a PC and brought one home. I kept it for a week and it did not ever work correctly. Furthermore, it was large and bulky and I realized that to take it in for diagnosis and repair would be very awkward. My son and husband had both told me from the beginning to get a laptop. We read reviews and chose Toshiba. It worked without a hitch from the beginning, is very easily transported, and I am truly a satisfied user."

"There are a few reasons why this is a great computer. For one thing, it was one of the few that still separates the volume buttons from the function buttons. I like the fact that they are independent from one another. Also the sturdy disc draw is well appreciated. Some other brands draws appeared to be flimsy."

"The i3 is a powerful processor... don't let the lower number 3 after the "i" fool you. It's a dual core processor with Multi-threading... as far as the computer is concerned it is a quadcore. Unless you are doing video editing or gaming this processor is much more than you will ever need. 6GB of memory makes me feel comfortable using this system for the next coming years. As an IT Professional there was no better setup for my price range."

"I love this laptop. Probably my favorite thing about it is actually the keyboard! I am a very fast typist and I hate the usual keyboards on laptops, but this one has perfect resistance and space between the buttons. It has a ton of memory and speed that is just right for my use - I am a new student. I think the price was good, too. My only complaint, and it's a personal one, is that I probably should've bought the one below it that was a little smaller - it is just a bit heavy for me when I have it in my laptop case and my other things for school."

"Nice laptop for a 15.1 inch. It's portable and easy to carry around. I do find that the keyboard is stiff and many of the keys need to be hammered hard to get the letter to type.
I do wish the keyboard was backlite -- but you can't have everything.
For what I need the laptop for, it's a good machine."

"This was my firsst Toshiba purchase. I compared the usual things: processor, storage, and options. This Toshiba seemed to fit everything I was looking for in a laptop. The Wi-max is just now coming out. This having a Wi-fi hotspot built in, I can share the internet with other devices I own. Have been enjoying it since I purchased it."

"Our first i3 computer. Really boots much faster than the machine it replaced, and operates more reliably. Changes functions and programs quickly, and even my internet connection seems faster. "I really like the Toshiba. This is my first one. My only complaint is that the keys stick. I guess I type faster than it can handle! Oh - and sometimes my thumbs hits something (haven't figured it out) and the word I'm typing ends up somewhere else. Also - what's up with the screen changing size! Don't like that at all. So - I guess I have some new things to get use to. Overall I would recommend to others."

"I'm enjoying using this laptop. It was very easy to set up -- within 5 minutes it was up and running. I immediately made recovery DVDs with the included instructions before going on-line. After that, I started looking at all the features which this computer offered -- including very good sound, beautiful video playback on the 15.6 inch widescreen, an excellent full-sized keyboard including a 10-key number pad, and some very good software. Some have complained about the webcam, though I think if you change the resolution from the default it gets much better results. The computer is fairly compact and weights a bit less than 6 lbs., so it is quite portable as well. Plus, it is very stylish with very modern-looking, fingerprint-proof horizontal varnish-like lines on the outside cover and surrounding the keyboard. I'm impressed with this computer, am still discovering its features, and I've had it more than a month! The battery seems to be going to about 4 hours and perhaps it will go to the advertised 6+ hours if you use it on the eco-Utility mode. I highly recommend this computer."

"This machine seems solid, has been glitch free so far. There are a few things about it that tend to annoy -- the off center touch pad is stange; it is centered under the keyboard, would be better if centered on the machine. Also the touchpad is a bit bothersome in that you can run your fingers off the top without feeling it, so your cursor just stops following... The lid is hard to open, -- no good place to grab, no latch -- causes one to tend to open it from the edge of the machine rather than the center, which causes stress on the hinges, no doubt. The screen is big and bright, but glare can be a real problem. The keyboard keys require a firm finger hit. The laptop is heavy and a little slippery. It does seem to run nice and cool. Seems like it might be a previous generation design. There are machines out there that offer more modern designs, faster CPUs, etc, for similar money. Overall the construction seems beefy and solid, time will tell how well it holds up."

"After two weeks and only about 6 hours of use, the hard drive on my new laptop apparently crashed. The store, of course, replaced it but it was disappointing especially since it was my first time using a laptop. The new one seems to work fine."

"I researched several laptops and asked a lot of associates about their opinions of brands, etc. I wanted a machine that would perform and would be comfortable using, but I didn't want to break the bank in order to make the purchase. I had my choices narrowed down to 3 computers made by 3 different manafacturers all at the same price and I ended up choosing this one. At the time, I was not sure, but I am VERY glad this was my choice. The keyboard is the best for a laptop I have ever had. The screen is amazing and the speakers way exceeded my expectiations. Everything the computer does is fast and the design is flawless. The battery life could be a little better, but there is absolutely nothing else I would change about this computer. If you are considering this machine along with some others, do yourself favor and take this one."

"This laptop is the best laptop I have EVER had. Great battery, great screen, EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT SPEAKERS!!. The speakers are seriously THE best. Remember how you never used to be able to hear the music on your laptop and always needed external speakers? NOT anymore!
It is super fast, and I have loads of stuff on it, it still runs like new. It NEVER overheats, and I live in a hot island in the Caribbean."

"So easy to set up right out of the box! It took me less than 5 minutes to be online! This laptop is easy to use, has an excellent i3 core processor and is fast, fast, fast! I have a Toshiba T.V. and have never had a bit of trouble with it - hence the laptop. Have has this laptop for about 2 months. Nice wide screen, excellent graphics and picture! The only draw back is the keyboard is not backlit. Other than that, this is a good, reliable, solid laptop. Wouldn't get anything else but a Toshiba and am not disappointed."

"The quality of the WEB cam is really really bad. Grainy picture at its best setting. Very poor sound quality. I don't expect very much from a lap top but this Toshiba is really bad. Fair picture/ display quality at best. The lettering on the keyboard looks like it was printed in the 1970s. I don't expect anything special in the software package and Toshiba lived up to that expectation. This is a very average machine. Since I made a choice not to purchase any more H.P. products due to poor performance and customer service, I actually thought, for a company that has been producing Lap Tops for as long as Toshiba has their quality would be better that this. I was not able to do anything with the Demo at the Best Buy location so I was using brand expectation as a purchasing guide, and bought the Toshiba I now have. It works, I'll use it, but I am quite sure I will not be making another Toshiba purchase again."

"I believe that this keyboard is great for a man...each keystroke must be heavy or letters are missed. Ironically, the trackpad is so sensitive, that a finger drag sometimes reduces the page/text immensely. Like the pop-up feature that alerts to too much movement."

"Very easy to to set up a wireless connection right out of the box. This is my first laptop and I love it. I have used desktops for over 20 years and am proficient on computers. "i've always been a desktop computer user, but since checking out this laptop, i love that the keyboard is just like a desktop keyboard! i also love that there is an option to turn of the mouse pad on the laptop. those things drive me nuts! i like a regular mouse better. and now, after those two main deal breakers, i can move around with the lap top wherever, and that is more freeing, too!"

"It worked right out of the box, I could feel and see that this is the laptop I'm looking my business. I can open up several windows without losing speed or performance. I have one complaint with the keyboard, I really have to push hard on the keys and the space bar to type. Otherwise this is a great product, I use it more than my desktop computer."

"Fairly good laptop. Has a lot of features. However the price for this Toshiba is a little bit high. But, anyway 6 gb RAM compensates it's drawbacks. Which are :

No Keyboard back light (in this model)

Dolby advanced built in speakers are much better than average laptop speakers.
