"The ease of use thus far has been favorable, specifically the set up, registration, battery life, as well as Toshiba's (incorporation of it's) own personal web browser that seems to include everything of interest the casual user, as well as a heavy user. My personal favorite is the incorporation of media features. Many other features I have not used yet, but are readily available..."

"I used a ThinkPad T40 for nearly seven years - reliable and very usable. It's retired from active service, replaced with my new Toshiba Satellite. The AMD Vision A8 processor kept the price down so I could add features. So far, I like the machine - excellent keyboard, and reasonably fast. The display is nicely crisp and bright. I appreciate all the ports that come with the Toshiba platform. Not so much Windows 7. I find that a number of my existing peripherals are not, or seem to not be supported. Thank goodness I still have the old system around. And am having trouble accessing my a nearly new (3-4 months old) HP 8500 printer, all of which worked perfectly fine under WinXP Pro. None of these issues are in the domain of the Toshiba platform itself, but since it comes bundled with Win7, I guess it has to take some of the responsibility as an accomplice. Summary - really like the my Toshiba hardware, but the jury is definitely still out on the Win7 that came with it."
