"I fell in love with Toshiba's unique keyboard on the showroom floor. I went in to a big box store, looking to upgrade my HP Pavilion and was immediately disenchanted. Just like a speed dater, I made a pass at every other manufacturer's keyboard. Two weeks prior I purchased a Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5200 for my mom, and was impressed by the feel of the standard laptop keyboard during setup. Instantly I was wowed by a P755 keyboard, but needed a bigger 17 screen. As I also needed a better Graphics card, I decided to do some of that Online mail order. I quickly got exactly what I wanted from Toshiba.Direct and boy am I happy. The P770 is even better than I expected and best yet is the spacing of the keyboard. I am an architect and heavily rely on the Function keys(F1-F12) for CAD drafting. Standard laptop keyboards do not provide a sufficient space between F4-F5 and F7-F8. Thanks Toshiba R&D my productivity level is going back up. IMPORTANT NOTE: A switch isn't a button. If you are new to computers/just got this laptop and the WIFI won't work read on. You will have to press the Wireless Antenna "button" at the System Control Panel above the keyboard, and then the blue Fn key + F8 to start WIFI. Older computers have just one button on top or just one switch in front. I opened the box and only pressed the blue Fn key+F8, which told me to "Switch ON" the wireless antenna. Even as somewhat a Techie, I was stumped so I called support. The recorded advice was use the switch on the front or side of the laptop. Fortunately I happened to touch the Volume on the System Control panel and then the Wireless antenna button. Those buttons are slick. Hopefully tech support will update their recording accordingly."
