"Sleek, slim, a third of the weight of my old laptop with tons more power and speed! My only critique is that the USB ports are on the right (next to where the mouse would be used) and the CD slot is on the left. Switching these two would quite possibly make this the perfect laptop."

"Well, I have had this less than 3 months and so far, it works well. I rated it all as 3 stars (average) as the average laptop should work out of the box. As to the machine itself, do yourself a favor and save the extra money and get the touch screen. The finger pad is a big pain in the butt to use - get a mouse. The operating system is made for touch screens, period. yes, it works, but its a forced marriage of an old school laptop with an operating system for a better laptop."

"This model seems designed for a left-handed user. That's bad since I'm right handed. It has the optical drive on the left side along with a USB port near the rear which is perfect for a wireless mouse dongle. All other ports (including the USB 3s) are on the right. So, if the USB ports are used or a separate monitor attached, the mouse has to contend with a sea of cables or other things forcing the mouse away from the machine. Had I paid attention, I would have never purchased a machine configured that way."

"I have had this laptop for a month, and, so far, am very pleased with it: I get excellent battery life even when running videos or live music streaming.....I've used it for 4 hours or more and still had battery life left. Windows 8 takes a little getting used to, but the option to move to the desktop display gives you the option to move to a more familiar layout. So far, I like this laptop alot."

"Pros: look, performance, features, value Cons: 1) Screen spec 15.6 really a 17 does not fit case 2) mouse pad response well below Apple, Lenovo, etc -- jumps all over the screen 3) attempt to blend touch pad w/PC is really bad; trying to pound out work on a key board is interrupted with pop-ups, pull downs, slide-ins. A real productivity killer for those who expected this to behave like a PC."

"I am not sure if the computer is working correctly. The scroll pad feature is not very user friendly and keep jumping to new screens. This is my 4th laptop and I have never had this issue before. It could be operator error, but I doubt it. The whole unit is very touchy. Maybe someone could assist me with this and I could write a more positive review. If you have a tech department, I would be happy to contact them. I have had 2 HPs and never had this issue. It could aslo be a feature of Windows 8. I would appreciate the assistance. Thank you."

"I like the laptop but am not crazy about windows 8. I find this latest os as very lacking. I understand the attraction if a person has a touchscreen however as you well know the model Toshiba I purchased, actually I purchased five(5) laptops, does not have. The touchscreen. Toshiba would have been better served with a better OS."

"Very Quick Machine. Not happy about the Boot Locker but you can disable if you need to install another OS like UBUNTU, Machine is fast! Touch pad leaves a bit to be desired but if you get a small USB mouse you should be good. Great Wireless Card on board. Decent Sound, Crisp picture and a 10 Key pad for data entry.WOW!..Disappointed that there does not seem to be any media card reader. That pretty much is the only downside. Windows 8 once you get used to it is nice. Did I mention it is fast. :) Great machine worth the money - the metallic feel is a little strange on the cover seems very easy to scratch when they could have went with a brushed or smooth coated look. Metal (Aluminum Alloy) scratches too easily."
