"The U845T-S4165 is a simple little laptop. In the 14 inch class, it was the right size for my mobile use. I installed it in a pickup and use it for radio communications control. The touchscreen with Windows 8 is very efficient when a mouse can't be used during mobile operations. Furthermore, the solid state drive (SSD) is ideal for the rough roads I sometimes have to travel. That would be tough on a hard disk drive. It performs well with Windows 8 and overall I'm very satisfied with this little laptop. This is my 5th Toshiba laptop and I've always been happy with them. However, this was my first purchase via Toshiba Direct and I'm happy with their service too. There were no comparable PCs to found locally or at other sites. The price seemed fair, but I hope the cost of touchscreens and SSDs comes down. I will definitely consider Toshiba Direct again for my next purchase."

"Purchase because I wanted little larger screen than a standard 13.3 and did not want the weigh of a 15.6 laptop. Lighted keyboard is nice. Rubber stopper and screws are falling out of the bottom though. I payed below retail so I'm very happy with the value. SSD drive makes for a quick start up."

"I am very pleased with this product. Although I did not have much time to use it , during the short time I used it , it rally impressed me with all it's features. I had an expensive competitive product (tablet)which I had to return due it its poor performance. BUT U845T-S4165, delivered what it promised at a fraction of the price. Great product! Highly recommended. Real value for money."

"This model of Toshiba ultra book is great for browsing the web or writing documents. Although it comes with the Intel HD 4000 chip set, it is not for gaming. It is small and light, and the battery performance is acceptable. Compared to today's ultra books though, this is not worth the price. To get the most out of this computer, I recommend upgrading to windows 8. Battery life and performance will increase greatly!"
