"Great value for the money. Great display and touch is very responsive. Downside is SOUND. Stereo speakers are tinny and volume power while wearing headphones is unacceptably weak. Would never be able to hear a movie or music on a plane. Toshiba shouldn't have scrimped so on speakers and amplification, when multimedia is so important to the Android platform."

"I bought my thrive in Oct 2011 and I do believe I love it more now than I did then. It is fast and I use it far more than my laptop and desktop. It is so portable and easy to use. The fact that the battery can be replaced really sets it apart from other tablets. The grip backing makes it easy to handle without worrying about it slipping out of my hand. I could go on and on about this tablet but suffice to say it is well worth the price."

"I got this in December as a gift. My mom said the people at the store said " it was the best tablet out there " Truth is it's horrible. The apps are slow , makes it freeze , and force closes . This isn't just one app , it's all apps. The USB ports never connect. The only thing I enjoy about it is the long battery life , which sometimes stays for about 1 day or maybe 2 . Otherwise , don't waste your money buying this product . Go spend a extra 50 for an IPad , So much better ."

"Purchased this tablet for Christmas after reading the reviews but I'm very disappointed in it's performance. It's slow, it won't pull up websites when I type them in, the keyboard is very slow and it freezes up alot . I spend more time pulling out my laptop to do my surfing.. I have told everyone I know not to buy this tablet."

"I received a Thrive as a gift otherwise it would have gone directly back to the store. Originally there was more functionality but I did the update that I consider ruined the device.BTW - There is no rollback once you do the OTA update so don't do it. Toshiba has really stuck it to its' customers with this one. Not only did it limit the SD capabilities but it prevents you from doing full backups and the like.The update also slowed the unit down considerably. GPS lock takes forever. It weighs in at half a brick and I mean a real brick. This tablet is heavy, slow and frankly you can do better. I've been a long time Toshiba fan but this has changed my mind to the point I'll never purchase a Toshiba product again. Take your money elsewhere."

"It is nice and all but once again it is starting to run slow.the only way to keep it a five start product is to restore factory settings about every 10 days which means losing all progress in games and other stuff. After 2 months of great care the housing cracked out of no where.street research evenings starts to break within 3 months. To expensive to repair. Runs slow now and dint want to factory reset.... 3-4 stars"

"Did extinsive research into tablets and found that the price and the ease of use was great for the price u cant beat it. The one major thing was useing flash which u cant on a IPAD the case and the docking station is also great for what i do. Great job on this Tablet."

"Let me tell you when I say this is it. Not only is tablet a IPad killer, but this tablet is a IPad killer-killer. Comparison to the galaxy 10.1, this even tops that. Fantastic product from a completely technical stand point. Without getting into nerdy detail. The only thing that the galaxy could not beat on the IPad2 was the battery life. The Thrive not only meets it, but exceeds it by a full hour! People this is it. You wanted something to besides apple, here you go. By the way, ITS ALSO CHEAPER!!!"
