"Bought refurbished and it arrived as new. Set up was very easy, picture quality is very good. For the price it is great. My main criticism is the sound is pretty weak so hooking up to external speakers is necessary. However, that there is no 'headphone out', or any volume control from the analog or optical audio out ports means that you cannot connect standalone powered speakers and expect to control the volume with the TV remote. i.e. you must connect to an amplifier or powered speakers which have their OWN separate remote volume control, meaning I now have to invest in more equipment and use two remote controls just to watch TV with decent sound. Major oversight in my opinion. My other smaller Toshiba bedroom TV has headphone out and I am able to control external speakers with the volume just fine. Now I have to pay for a new audio setup. Not happy. Overall, its a decent enough set. Channel scan was good. Navigating favourite channels and inputs is good. The remote isn't quite as responsive as I'd have hoped. I have to to a lot of direct pointing at the IR receiver, but its a minor irritation. All in all, I think it gets a deserved 4/5 for the price."

"The speakers are loud but the sound quality is horrible. I don't think I've listened to the TV at a volume higher than 3. But I have heard clock radios with better speakers. If you care about sound quality, you will want to hook this television up to something. Where the sound fails, the picture and price, shine. While I have seen better picture I have never seen a picture this good on a television at this price, no matter what the size. The 60hz refresh rate is noticeable, but only in fast moving scenes. The 2 HDMI ports could be a problem for some, but there are adapters that you can buy to expand on that. The remote is a little uncomfortable at first, but the TV does sync to some HDMI linked devices so you can control your Playstation3 with your TV remote. If you are considering a new TV and want a great picture, you must see this TV in person."
