"I've read some of the reviews. My TV is haunted, it doesn't cut off when I cut it on, it doesn't hesitate to come on & stay on (5-10 seconds). The ONLY complaint that I have ,just like others, is that the sound is not good. I have a small old kareoke unit attached and it makes it awesome as far as sound. My picture and everything is just fine. . . I love it!!"

"Tv sound and image blew me away. Distance from wall makes a difference in sound quality, i used a tv stand with floating mount to be able to move it around while i cook. Its super light in weight and the picture is so life like. Please use a high grade HDMI cable with this tv, it will last longer and wont distort over time with cheap ebay cables. I will be getting one for my bed room soon."

"This was a great tv week one then week two its becomes haunted turns its self on /off changes settings turns sound up and down then off chages inputs. This tv was great week one but week two and three now its boxed up going back ."

"Big screen with very good image quality, but sound is the worst in the industry. I can not imaging a company like Toshiba doing a thing like this. Hello guy's are you asleep, you forgot the sound quality."

"The picture quality is awesome. The only thing that can get annoying is the clearframe feature...sometimes if there is ALOT of motion (especially items moving up or down during playback) you will notice a stutter...like it goes back to 60hz for a quick second. And yes the sound leaves a little to be desired...nothing a good soundbar wouldn't fix. All in All...i love my new toshiba and i would reccomend it to anyone who asked."

"I just got this TV today, black Friday 2011. It was very easy to set up and had it unpacked in minutes. Very easy for one person to load into car, unload and set up. Invisible speakers are pretty cool, and I love the sound. It's similar to any other TV, no better but not worse. I see lots of reviews dissing the sound but it's fine so far."

"i bought this tv yesterday picture is great but it sounds like cheap headphone speakers that you can't hear with out a surround sound this tv came yesterday and will be back in the store and I'm getting a different brand.. shame on toshiba charging this much for a tv with no sound....."

"Nice TV for the price. The sound is very tinny though. This tv picture also doesn't keep up all the time. I thought the 120 hz would keep up better. Experimenting with picture settings to try and clear it up."

"I purchase this 55'' Toshiba LED TV a week ago and I love it! The picture quality is ecellent, but the speaker sound not so great. I hooked it up to a Bose surround sound system. The thiness make the this TV look like a picture handing on my wall."

"Brand new 55 inch LED TV was problematic from day one. No images showing a couple of hours after installation. Audo disappeared a week later. Over a month later Toshiba is yet to rectify the situation."

"We just purchased this t.v. I love the t.v. however the sound is horrible without surround sound!!! Got a very good deal on this t.v. so I really cant complain and thank god we had surround sound otherwise we would have had to purchase that also"

"I purchased the 55SL412U LED TV a week ago and love the picture, it is however fairly bare bones when it comes to the extra features. I did not need a lot of them, which is why I decided to go with this model. My biggest problem with the tv is the speakers. I understand that it is a thin TV and big speakers aren't going to come with it, but I have better sound from my laptop speakers. The audio from this TV sounds like it was recorded with a tin can. No bottom to the sound at all. I have to use my surround sound to get acceptable sound. Overall, if you don't typically use the tv speakers then this is a great option for a TV, however if you do not own a home theater or have an alternate sound option then it may be very difficult to get use to the sound from this TV"
